Intensive Training (75 chocobucks) and Special Training (80 chocobucks) are only usable on chocobos currently being raised in the stables. If you want to alter stats on a chocobo that has already retired, you need to purchase a retired token found in the purchase items menu in the 100-chocobuck category. This category is only available if you are aligned to the racing team in first place of your server.
Intensive Training is a waste as it saves you 5 bucks but increases a random stat, pretty much useless.
Special Training (80 bucks) and Race tokens (found in the 90-chocobuck purchase items menu) give + 5 to the chosen stat for each use. There is a weird nuance that occurs once past a certain stat threshold where a single use of a race token or special training will either be +4 or +6 to the chosen stat.
Retired tokens (100 chocobucks) give +2 to the chosen stat. Only great for micro adjusting stats at the very end of the raising process. Trying to correct a poorly planned chocobo already retired is not really feasible.
Raising a stat a whole tier cost 512 – 576 bucks during the raising process and 1,600 if retired.
Dye is lost whenever you register your bird to snapshot updated stats.

Is there any up to date BLU DPS spreadsheet available that includes recent changes from like end of 2025-2026? I believe everyone has just moved on to the simulator now. It works pretty good, honestly.
Simulator?
This is the simulator in question.

I could definitely believe that could happen, but like, why? Craftsmanship is incredibly simple/cheap compared to the rest of the shield.

Has anyone or "a friend" ever scammed a GM out of a craftsmanship crystal by:
1.Getting a shield to 100% craftsmamship
2.Dropping the crystal and then zoning
3.Getting the crystal again with 100% craftsmanship (from like 80%)
4.Upgrading the shield via craft
5."Ooooooh noooo I dropped my crystal. Id like to use my one time oopsie to get it back plz"
Re-using the same item 4x for the escutechon has to have been exploited somehow

First question is yes, stats "snapshot" on registration so you have to re-register if you change stats.
Second question is... I think yes, reregistering also means you have to re-dye? But I'm not 100% certain on that. I feel like I got bit by that once in the past.

Oh, 4 points per training is low but... could've been worse.
I guess I might want to put em all in RCP in the bird I'm currently using.
Of course after doing that I'll need to re-register it for racing and for mount, right?
I have another question about the chocobo dye.
I know if I dye my mount-chocobo that dye is gonna stay on the mount (and not on the race).
What happens if I update my chocobo stats and consequentially I decide to "update" those stats on the mount by re-trading my VCS card to the npc.
If I do that, will it "reset" the dye? Or will the dye stay even if I update the mount?
This is very convoluted I just woke up, I bet you guys aren't even understanding what the *** I'm saying lol

I believe it's 4 points per training - like 4 points from Ivaar's addon showing actual numbers, so 8 of those per letter rank.

Wing Skill 89-90, 393 successful digs.
Wing Skill 90-91, 385 successful digs.
Wing Skill 91-92, 406 successful digs.
Should just about finish up from the campaign, if not, curious to see what these levels are like without the campaign.

Just to give a small update, it took me AGES to reach the cap for daily successful digs with a 200 base Choco + Blue Body (endurance).
I was 29, somewhat around halfway through for 30.
At the end of this session? I'm 37. With 14 successful digs on the way for 38.
Not sure how many total digs but it took me over 10 stacks of gysahl greens.
For the first 4 stacks I was in West Ronfaure, didn't dig a single Gysahl Green.
So I found an area with better pathing. After spending some time in La Theine and Dem, I found an horizontal path where it takes around 13 mins from one way to the other. It's not perfect but I'm doing this manually without a bot so I can't expect too much lol.
Anyway, took me 69 succesful digs to go from 36 to 37 and at least 64 for 36 to 37.
Not sure how this compares to the data you guys recorded.
Once I manage to get 150 chocobucks I'll try to get the Sky Blue thing as well, see how that works for me.
Ultimately I feel you really need a specific choco with zero STR, 200+ End, lotsa Perception and some discernment too.
With ~36% succesful dig rate otherwise the time it takes for each session becomes... intense.
That alone makes me lean a lot towards Sky.
With shorter sessions and ~90% accuracy in digging, then even 400 digs a day becomes less stressful I guess.
That's super interesting that you didn't get a single Gysahl in west ronf at all. I wonder if they're part of the Burrow or Bore pool then. I would get them probably 40-50% of my digs.
I'm not entirely sure how those skills work but suggestions have said they basically add separate "dig slots" for their unique pools, which may be why I usually got 2-3 items. But in doing so, it means you basically triple the chances you find something, I guess, which would shorten time needed on failures.

The cheaper one is for birds still being raised while the more expensive ones are for birds that are retired. I thought I saw somewhere (ffxiclopedia?) it takes like 560 chocobucks to raise a stat a full rank. I believe this was for unretired birds. Also a lot of other info on both wikis has had questionable accuracy in my experience.

the selection of crepuscular ring and the AGI cape are the same limitation of the sim. Basically the sim is looking for the 'fastest to x tp' under your given conditions/restrictions. So if you are acc capped AGI and DEX are the same and crepuscular and chirich+1 are mathematically the same and it doesnt think beyond 'get to X tp' or count other non tp stats (except DT, if selected)

All of the most recent RE entries have been heavily frontloaded. Once you get past the first act the story just falls apart, then you beat the game and there is almost no extra content. No reason to keep playing. I don't like what Capcom has been doing of late so I never even considered this game.

I have a question about the 70 and 80 chocobucks plans.
How many "points" do you get for each use?
Can you use them on a registered chocobo that is currently running/digging and has finished growing?

Day 1 through retirement, a single Watch Over is all that is required.
Your goal should not be to deplete the energy bar to 0 every day unless there are specific reasons to do so like learning an ability or interacting with an NPC to obtain a specific KI. The occasional Bored and Restless will require a Compete With Others of course too.
Using Tell a Story to learn said abilities is good once DSC is 96+ as trying to learn an ability earlier is possible but just a waste of time as it’s like speaking to your chocobo with its head in the sand.
When it comes to daily food that entirely depends on how much energy was used the day prior. For instance, a single Watch Over interaction will not have any effect on hunger levels for multiple days. I have raised multiple birds where they were not feed from day 6 through day 20. As during that time, they remained at level 6-8 hunger level and only required the occasional single Garridav or Tokopekko to recover from stomachache and illness.
Wait... I'm not supposed to deplete its energy daily? Or look over it to keep its affection up?... you literally just do the daily plan, feed it, and call it a day? Dang that seems to counterintuative

RE9 felt very disappointing The early game with the hospital was pretty good but the later parts with the city aren't that great. I think they went a bit too much over board with the nostalgia bait and around the second half they lost me with the story.
They also went a bit over the top kind of like the movies did, for instance riding a motorcycle up a skyscraper.
I don't know, once you open the can of worms with multi verses, time travel or clones in story telling it often goes downhill fast. At that point everything tends to lose meaning cause nothing has real consequences.

Did I hallucinate it, or did they claim they were going to eventually add HTBFs for ACP, Moogle Kupo d'etat, and A Shantotto Ascension? http://www.playonline.com/pcd/topics/ff11us/detail/40038/detail.html
Quote: ・Additional high-tier mission battlefields
We plan to add high-tier mission battlefields from three additional scenarios that were originally sold as downloadable content so that players can enjoy these classic scenes from the game's past.

If they do, how do you reckon each will go?
When ACP was new, there were two methods for beating it that I recall being common. High end gear melee zerg, or mid range gear Rangers blow the *** out of it outside of its AOE charm range.
Moogles were a joke in a party, just remember Lullaby being requisite to sleep them for some reason.
Shantottos were gather the key items so you're super buffed and zerg.
I'd assume it'll be about the same but with inflated stats? What say you? Did they say this even?

But William Higinbotham invented virtual tennis in 1958, so Boomers did have video games! Never heard of it. I did hear of a spaceship one in 1962(? 61?) that took a university computer center to play.
In both cases we can state that for all practical purposes they weren't available.
Pre-Xbox it's all Boomers or older wut?
I'm old enough to have played on Atari, but I'm nowhere near boomer. I still have an Atari and I'm too old to be a boomer.

I left RE9 feeling not very satisfied. Didn't feel complete and the story was garbage. There were fun gameplay moments but most felt shallow. But everywhere you look online ppl are singing its praises who haven't even beaten the game. Consumer and influencer ideology is really destroying video games is so sad. I finally found some reviews that really nailed what o disliked about the game, and the comments on the video too. I miss the original games, are we living in dystopian times or am I becoming like the boomers.

https://youtu.be/8ZZq3DTKZK4?si=_GGgr7SAqjnIBvhfExactly my experience, thanks for making me feel more sane about this lol.
RE9 felt very disappointing to me as a fan since OG RE2, both in story and gameplay. It was such a huge downgrade from RE4R (and RE2R). It lacked.. "identity", you know, those character moments, interesting encounters, intriguing villains, all that stuff.. let alone a new IP "face" (Grace is such a meh character). It felt "soulless", and I was amused when I learned from a friend that it was originally an open-world multiplayer project, so mystery partially resolved I guess, lol.
RE9 was an ok game on its own, but it failed to deliver the RE experience I was looking for. At least now I know I won't care much about RE10 from an IP attatchement standpoint. I only care about the Code Veronica remake now.
Will check out those videos

A bird in hand is worth two in the bush... having 100% DA vs 65% missed zanhassos. Just shows how powerful ampulla is,
Also, not sure why sim is selecting ryuo without knowing your mob and gear restrictions but I would just build around 3x empy+3 and clem x2
You might have haste samba selected which would negate hasso+ gear
