The same could be said for heavy drugs
What would you guys do if "heavy drugs" was a literal thing, like a 5 pound Percocet or Xanax?

I don't recall why, but a long time ago I switched from Convoker's Doublet to Glyphic Doublet for my hybrid set. I know there was a reason, but for the life of me I can't find it. Since all of the sets I see are very out of date, does anyone know which body you want to use for each of the BP types? Physical, Multihit, Magical, and Hybrid?

Thanks.
It all depends on the situation.
AF+4/Apogee Body for Hybrid(Flaming Crush) depending on the Macc needed.
Relic/AF+4 Body for any Ftp replicating BP like Volt Strike/Predator Claws/Hysteric Assault etc. Also depending on Nirvana AM3 and the rest of the gear since you need to adjust for the lost acc.
AF/Apogee Body for Magical depening on the Macc.
Those that arent Ftp replicating AF body +4.

Relic body don't do much for Hybrid BP. So no idea why you swapped.

Must have been a typo when I moved sets around. Thanks.

I mean its right there at the top of the page

Centovente (TP Bonus +1000) was excluded from these sets. It will likely be the strongest off-hand option for all "Damage Varies with TP" weapon skills when you have the accuracy for it, though.

Odd given that ALL the dagger WS "vary with TP."

25% really is awkward, and meaningfully so in some cases. For instance, with trust bards who use Victory March +0 for 15.92% haste - leaving you uncapped unless you get both Marches (good luck with that).

Sometimes it still works, like I can get Honor March (w/ Marcato or SV) from an actual player BRD and that + Vickie is enough to cap with no other haste songs/spells needed. But yeah, 30% sure would be nice.
By Goltana101 on 2025-08-31 00:50:34
They should just bump that up to 30% Haste. 25% is awkward and makes using Vickie less useful for that reason alone.

Snort is the highest priority haste buff, you wont get haste II but you also wont get slowed by anything unless its an aura or also a super high priority slow

Oh shi.
I had no idea, that's bad.

Ohh I have no idea. They effectively disappeared from my notice when they said they were gonna transfer so they could get merc services.

silence has a base of 2 mins iirc, but is influenced by duration+ stuff. MND impacts land rate as it is subject to the usual resist tiers, no effect on duration i think
By Vyrerus on 2025-08-30 23:31:36
So today I took BST to Dyna-D Windy to unlock the BST relic head upgrade.

Used Vivacious Vickie for a lot of Wave 2. Gave Zealous Snort a go, figuring it'd be no issue. Get Haste 2 on Vickie and alliance RDM's Haste 2 would get me...

Only...

RDM Haste 2 had got the message:

Sexydan's Haste II had no effect.

Zealous Snort literally blocked RDM Haste 2. Wiki says that Haste 2 overwrites Snort, but that does not seem to be the case.

Why? lmao
By Vyrerus on 2025-08-30 23:23:07
Ballin!

For Silence, the BG-wiki links to an update to RDM from years ago about its duration being set to a static 2 minutes.

Is that true for White Mage as well, and is Silence still subject to lower duration if resisted?

Does MND impact its macc and duration as well?

So, once upon a time, I dipped my boots into the world of Final Fantasy XI. And my very first fling? Red Mage. Oh yeah white magic, black magic, swinging a sword like I owned the place. Felt like the complete package. But as I climbed higher, reality smacked me upside the head. Turns out, the job was more about babysitting healing, throwing debuffs and not much about melting faces with spells or going toe-to-toe in melee. So, I thought, nope, not my circus, and I rerolled.

Enter Thief. Level 75. My first true love. Getting there was no picnic, no Chains of Promathia, just grinding through strange corners of the world: Valley Sorrys, Kuftal Tunnel, Labyrinth of Onzozo. Damn, it was rough, but oh-so-sweet. Being the puller, setting the pace, landing that first SATA? That was pure magic. I devoured guides on FFXI-Ifrit and Allakhazam like they were scripture. Took me years, but man Thief hooked me deep.

Then came Samurai. After years of sneaking around, I wanted raw, respectable damage. Hagun, Hauberk +1… oh, baby. SAM was a beast. Dropping Gekko, Kasha, Rana with the buffs stacked up it was like orchestrating beautiful destruction. My linkshell let me kick things off in Sky as THF/DRK, but SAM? That’s when I felt like I was truly carrying weight.

Next stop: Warrior. Around Abyssea, SAM wasn’t shining, and I wanted a job that was ironclad in every fight. My LS hooked me up with an Ukon, and that’s when WAR became my longest-running flame. From 2010 all the way to 2023 it was my bread, my butter, my big damn hammer. Made empy weapons, smashed through VW, Einherjar, Legion… it was glorious.

But then… oh then came the Naegling era. Everybody and their grandma had one, swinging it like they were special. Boring. Predictable. Took the fun right out of my WAR.

Monk. Fast fists, FTP replication, God Hands. It reminded me of my Thief days—dual-wielding quick blades, carving things up in a blur. And boy, did Monk deliver. Easy to gear, devastating WS, and when I picked up Verethragna? Oh, hell yes. Against bosses, Vereth was poetry. Against waves? God Hands, baby Howling Fist, Tornado Kick, carnage everywhere. For the first time, I was trading blows, parse for parse, neck and neck with those cookie-cutter Naegling WARs and DRGs.

So yeah that’s been my journey. RDM for a year, THF for three, SAM for two, WAR for damn near thirteen, and now MNK standing tall as my new main.

Cured Salmon

XXX grams of Salmon (I usually order sushi grade but have done with a whole salmon once, the place i ordered sliced the salmon into 2 fillets for me)
0.25XXX grams of sugar
0.25XXX grams of salt
Dill

mix sugar and salt, put dills all over the salmon piece
put some salt/sugar mix onto a cling film as a bed for the salmon, then put in the salmon, then cover the salmon with the rest of the salt/sugar mix.

Wrap up the cling film, put in a bowl, put some weight onto the salmon, put in the fridge for 18-36 hours, depending on how intense you want the flavor, usually i do 24 ish hours cause that's most convenient. Once that's done wash the salt/sugar off the salmon, pad it dry, then you can keep that in the fridge for like 1-2 weeks.

Panna Cotta is really easy

600 ml milk/cream (they give different texture, try them to see which you like, i like skimmed milk)
10 grams gelatin leafs
vanila extract (a few drops is enough but i always use too much which never hurt)
sugar (however sweet you want them)

put gelatin leaf on a place, add just enough water to cover the leafs

boil the milk/cream, add sugar/vanilla, add the gelatin leafs (hold them with your hand or a fork to let them dissolve slowly, if you drop them into your pot they're gonna stick to the buttom). Put them in the fridge, normal fridge not freezer. Wait a few hours, done!

Almost another 100 new members since my last shameless bump 3 weeks ago. Also, if you do join the discord, check your dm to get access to the entire discord. If you do not receive a dm, send one to me directly or as in a public channel @mod and someone can help you out.

Some time ago I watched a short course of video editing.

Youtuber with enough experience will always feels like flawlessly speaking.

That is the magic of subtle editing: a short video will have multiple cuts that remover breathing, gestures, reduce length, etc.

Its impressive because of youtuber I watched had this thing of constantly blinking. But it just became apparent in his live videos, because obviously those cant have edits. But the video was smoothly, with barely any blink from him.

I say that because Im watching a course right now, and the person teaching takes deep breaths every new paragraph. Nothing wrong here, but once you get used to videos having a fluent and dynamic conversation, hearing the speaker with deep breathes feels like she has some health problem.

Yeah, when I saw the price I was like no way this game is asking for this price.

IMO $20 would be a very favorable price, $30 should be acceptable. Post $40 it gets increasing harder to sell.

If they can polish the combat further to something at least 90% close to AAA action games, make it boss rush type of game, cut the story and cutscenes(that is the part that got criticized the most) and sell for $20 it would have get tons of positive review imo.
