Never heard of it. I did hear of a spaceship one in 1962(? 61?) that took a university computer center to play.

In both cases we can state that for all practical purposes they weren't available.

Hoxne is also a massive improvement for hybrid ws's in places where you otherwise aren't capped.

I left RE9 feeling not very satisfied. Didn't feel complete and the story was garbage. There were fun gameplay moments but most felt shallow. But everywhere you look online ppl are singing its praises who haven't even beaten the game. Consumer and influencer ideology is really destroying video games is so sad. I finally found some reviews that really nailed what o disliked about the game, and the comments on the video too. I miss the original games, are we living in dystopian times or am I becoming like the boomers.

Exactly my experience, thanks for making me feel more sane about this lol.

RE9 felt very disappointing to me as a fan since OG RE2, both in story and gameplay. It was such a huge downgrade from RE4R (and RE2R). It lacked.. "identity", you know, those character moments, interesting encounters, intriguing villains, all that stuff.. let alone a new IP "face" (Grace is such a meh character). It felt "soulless", and I was amused when I learned from a friend that it was originally an open-world multiplayer project, so mystery partially resolved I guess, lol.

RE9 was an ok game on its own, but it failed to deliver the RE experience I was looking for. At least now I know I won't care much about RE10 from an IP attatchement standpoint. I only care about the Code Veronica remake now.

Will check out those videos

A bird in hand is worth two in the bush... having 100% DA vs 65% missed zanhassos. Just shows how powerful ampulla is,

Also, not sure why sim is selecting ryuo without knowing your mob and gear restrictions but I would just build around 3x empy+3 and clem x2

You might have haste samba selected which would negate hasso+ gear

I like so much Plaything that I think I will record small reviews of newish chapters.

And here Im watching about Koreans history just to try to bring something else in my review.

I've been using Hoxne Ampulla lately on SAM in Apollyon climbs, and I don't miss Zanshin builds at all.

It's the same as using it on NIN, yeah its better but you kinda gut out one of the unique things the job did. Daken for nin, zanhasso for sam(still full perks under seigan at least), 100% DA with some mix of QA/TA/STP is gonna be better than the 25%~35 zanhasso in the long term even if iki pocs give a lot of TP they just occur far less over time

Agreed with clemency in that its more a perc for other jobs with less options to TP in, though maligs still plenty decent imo i nthe case of cor/rng. DRGs been in the awkward gleti's/nyame/jse hole for awhile in terms of good but sturdy TP sets, probably helps SAM too but I think they already had a solid selection of TP pieces

Only thing that really "kills" zanhasso build would be hoxne

I've been using Hoxne Ampulla lately on SAM in Apollyon climbs, and I don't miss Zanshin builds at all. SAM gets TP so unbelievably fast either way though. I am curious how TP gain could get any faster with Clemency set. I get that QA = higher effective TP = higher WS damage, but damn, the speed is already so absurd right now. How much faster can you really get at this point? I'm kinda not seeing Clemency set hype on SAM the same way I see it for like COR or DRG, but maybe because I'm purposely downplaying it because I don't have it.
By Shadowmeld on 2026-03-18 15:01:08
If you're using the python tool, the reason it picks an AGI back is because it comes first alphabetically and dex/str isn't providing any acc/damage benefit on the target mob that you have. Obviously it should be dex or str for a TP build.

I can't for the life of me see ryuo hakama +1 in any modern build, unless whatever tool you are using heavily favors STP over everything else. I Tatenashi legs would be better in almost every aspect for glass cannon, and empy +3 legs are way way better for the JA haste and the DT.

Since even with the new set you are still only ever going to get about 30% MA, Zanshin isn't dead, just not as high a priority.

Is there a daily checklist of things you should do in the raising phase? Just looking to the future.

Currently on Day 2, and checking the egg about 40-50 times before going off and doing my thing.

Just to give a small update, it took me AGES to reach the cap for daily successful digs with a 200 base Choco + Blue Body (endurance).

I was 29, somewhat around halfway through for 30.
At the end of this session? I'm 37. With 14 successful digs on the way for 38.

Not sure how many total digs but it took me over 10 stacks of gysahl greens.
For the first 4 stacks I was in West Ronfaure, didn't dig a single Gysahl Green.
So I found an area with better pathing. After spending some time in La Theine and Dem, I found an horizontal path where it takes around 13 mins from one way to the other. It's not perfect but I'm doing this manually without a bot so I can't expect too much lol.

Anyway, took me 69 succesful digs to go from 36 to 37 and at least 64 for 36 to 37.
Not sure how this compares to the data you guys recorded.

Once I manage to get 150 chocobucks I'll try to get the Sky Blue thing as well, see how that works for me.
Ultimately I feel you really need a specific choco with zero STR, 200+ End, lotsa Perception and some discernment too.
With ~36% succesful dig rate otherwise the time it takes for each session becomes... intense.
That alone makes me lean a lot towards Sky.
With shorter sessions and ~90% accuracy in digging, then even 400 digs a day becomes less stressful I guess.

Player ages vary, but I'm talking about big name creators.

Shigeru Miyamoto created Mario. He is a Boomer.

Richard Garriott created Ultima. He is a Boomer.

Boomers played Tennis for Two, which was created by William Higinbotham, who is from, "The Greated Generation."

Seamus Blackley is the lead creative for the original Xbox, he is eldest Gen X.

Leading up to the eldest Millenials, older generations created the original video games that lead to the series we have now. They weren't widely disseminated before the late 70s and 80s, and didn't take off in popularity until Nintendo broke the industry back in after the crash of '83 but they had them!

Speed apple and that much str you might be ok in the circuit races, no gallop or canter though so I could be wrong! My bird has similar stats (plus gallop/canter) and wins the C4-2 fairly easily with speed apples and linen saddle

Don't circuit races require Chocobucks to participate?
Which means it's kinda a bet. If you win you can make a gain yes, but if you don't arrive within the first 3 spots you're actually losing chocobucks.
Or did I miss something?
That's exactly how it works. If you aren't top 3 you only receive a pittance. Also you probably noticed that losing a Crystal Stakes race can set you back quite a bit due to the entry fee.

So I have a fully grown chocobo I used for racing many years ago to unlock the Reisenjima related zone bonus.

Jockey: Galka DNA Green Green Yellow
STR 243 - 18~19/32RP Legs and talons
END 234 - 10~11/32RP
DSC 18 - 18~19/32RP
RCP 15 - 15/32RP
Abilities: none
Personality: Rather ill-tempered
Weather: prefers clear days, dislikes none.
Riding speed 97,5%
Riding time: 45 minutes

These are the stats of my chocobo.
Not ideal for racing I know, but then again not the worst either?
Given these stats, can anybody suggest me what would be the fastest/easiest/mostefficient way to farm chocobucks? I want a bunch, like 200ish at least.

To get the previous 150 Chocobucks I needed I just spammed Free races. Took me around 55 mins of endless annoying menus interactions to perform.
Is that the best I can do or is there something else I could be doing?

Thanks for any useful tip!

Spam free races yes, can also do the circuit races every 20 hours? for a few extra bucks!

No hasso-enhancing piece in that set, wut?
And AGI on back?
Those two things kinda strike me as quite odd.
Also if I may add, there's lot of reasons to give up the "old" pieces with Zanshin and replace them with Clemency for the better defensive stats etc.
But then there's Ryuo Hakama +1 (D) in there, so we're kinda back to square one.

Maybe there's a reason I'm not seeing eh, but are we sure we can't rule out some small error in the calculations?

Lately I've been getting some odd results myself concerning to dualwield builds on other jobs.
Everything keeps working like a charm for WS calculations but for TP ones I keep getting these strange results and this seems to be another one, or isn't it?

i agree generator was a bit odd but mainly focused around is it worth ditching zanshin build fully if going with clemency set. Just hit R30 on my feet and have a few levels on hands so looking forward. I really want to get rid of Ryo/tat in favor of clemency but cant really make up the Zanshin any where else and not sure that the remaining zanshin is worth it over other options at that point. I suck with the math aspect of the gamea tho
By Akumasama on 2026-03-18 09:14:07
Ok my stats are:
STR 243 - 18~19/32RP
END 234 - 10~11/32RP
DSC 18 - 18~19/32RP
RCP 15 - 15/32RP

So the difference between 15 RCP and your 186 RCP seems to be what is causing me to have ~36% succesful dig rate and your ~87% succesful dig rate.
Pretty... huge difference if I may say.
But it is what it is and I certainly don't have the time or will to do another chocobo.
For now at least, maybe in the future when there's no campaign up I can prepare a new one while waiting for the next campaign.
Eeeeeh...

Anyway, thanks for clarifying it.
I still think for me, given how long my sessions take (~50 mins a day?) it's probably gonna be more beneficial to go for the Sky Blue (increased skillup rate) rather than Blue (2x successful attempts per day).
Spending 2hrs a day to chocodig just isn't very... practical. But for now it will have to do I guess.
By waffle on 2026-03-18 09:01:43
When I was farming Tolba a couple months back I saw a couple of chocobo digging bots at the entrance of the valley of sorrows. So they definitely exist. They'd pace back and forth at the entrance, digging at regular intervals.

I laughed pretty hard when one of them exceeded their chocobo riding time and the galka continued to pace back and forth on foot, pausing for a moment to "dig" before continuing on and on.
