More on the mid century.

The world was a much kinder place. Kids were pretty much free range. Today parents have been charged with child neglect or endangerment for letting their kids play outside unsupervised.

Hitchhiking was common and relatively safe. Striking up conversations with random strangers was common but today is seen as rude at best.

Living was cheaper, things cost far less in terms of hours worked for any purchase including housing. Middle class people could afford a house in their 20s. Heck, middle class people could afford maids. And this with one earner households.

Not nearly everything was better then. Medicine has advanced tremendously. The main treatment for cancer was surgery and prayer. My grandfather's leukemia was incurable and untreatable. He died at 59.

Cars were made of real steel, had real V8 engines and could pass anything except a real service station. Service stations filled your tank, checked your water and oil, cleaned your windows and had mechanics instead of minimarts.

My first computer was made of cardboard, base 10, and the power supply was a pair of D cells. I bought it from an add in a comic book. The comic book cost 10 cents. The dime was made of 90% silver.

Trains had gourmet food, air travel was luxurious and we did dress up for it but New York to Miami FL was five or six hours. The aircraft couldn't fly above weather. Turbulence and weather cancellations we far more common. The seats were comfortable and the food was good.

Women have it far more opportunities today but we didn't worry about our dates maybe killing us back then.

Would I go back? Not unless I was a kid again.

Another crazy thing to track, Orchestrion music. I'm missing a lot, but should be able to get some starlight celebration ones soon and could theoretically farm mog tablet ones.

nobody should stop using imgur, doing so punishes imgur and rewards the uk government for censorship. Don't be nice, you being nice is a weakness the bureaucrats who are doing bad things use to make the world a worse place for everyone

every time someone in the uk sees that warning image, it's good for them. cause it reminds them what their government really is

unrelated to WAR but they're also the best for DRK. BST and PLD too but /drg isnt as common for those 2(specially PLD). Just a universally good piece.

They're really not worth it to carry it unless you play few jobs.

In general despite playing most of the jobs in the game, I do niche sets for few jobs I consider mains. If he is trying to make a jump set for WAR I would guess it's one of his main and he is also aware of his inventory space.

Still delay and DPS loss, I'll let Simon do the paper math on that

You dont really need a complicated math for this. It's pretty simple. Considering jump will give you slightly more TP than regular TP round, because you have items like Ostro and you don't need to include haste, then the only things that matters is delay.

Something like Laphria has 488 delay. WAR with hasso and capped haste will lower that to 103.7, which is around 1.7 sec.
Now Jump will apply either 1sec delay or 2 sec delay. Depends if you use it before other JA/WS or melee round. If it's 2sec, then it's most likely a slight TP gain decrease. If it's a 1sec, then it's significant TP gain increase.

TL;DR Use jump in combo with other JA or WS if you want it to be a TP gain increase.

I started a new alt and threw on the Mastery Tracker addon out of curiosity.

I got rank 2 zoning out of Port Jeuno. The only thing I did since zoning in was turn in some gear to Monisette (wasn't first), get another Macrocosmic orb (wasn't first) and did my first Oboro trades for augments. Both a weapon and neck but neither to capped RP.

Neither gave a title so presumably doing an augment with him has some effect.

Alright gamers, should we wait to do limbus until after the update? Really don't want to do limbus today then miss out, is it possible to get the new chest rewards right away?

I'd also like to note that TP from jump TP bonus is affected by STP as well. So Ostro's +40 is also going to get boosted by all your STP+.

It's really too bad that Jump TP bonus only applies to the first hit. But.. it's already fantastic, so I suppose getting that boost on extra hits is a bit much.

Just to be clear my napkin calculation included both of those facts (stp affecting it and first hit only)
Ahhh, I should have realized that might have come across as a comment on, or critique of, your post. I didn't check your numbers or anything. I was just throwing out some factors that I think a lot of people may not know about. But the clarity is appreciated.

Wish people would stop using imgur for the British posters who can't see them.
? Why can't UK visitors view Imgur images?

I'm assuming under 100% DA without feet. The tp gain increase really isn't going to do much of anything, not worth carrying extra gear. It's a DPS loss on longer fights and I might jump twice in a sheol c run. I really doubt it's going to change things by more than 0.001% but you do you

Guy made a topic to find a jump TP set and you came in with completely wrong speculations based on your gueses and try to argue, that it's not worth to wear the single most impactful piece of equipment that WAR can wear to improve tp gain from jump. I guess you do you.

Fewell feeding is sensible for everyone, of course. As a cooking crafter I have access to heating smarts from the smock - I forget whether that's safety or pressure but I leveled the complementary one to the smock. It's been so long, if you can do a third maybe I did smacking or thwacking or whatever.

Doesnt matter if the DA is 100% or not, that flat TP gain on the boots outweigh any other option currently available due it being flat TP. Typically jumps are used before a WS as well to minimize TP loss so id assume you would want the most TP out of that very short burst of TP before a WS

War can wear Ostro greaves. Pretty sure Jump TP bonus+40(and +2% DA) will beat out Argosy handily. Though there is a bit of acc loss.
No STP and 2% DA? Seems pointless

Probably best just to jump in AF+4 feet for 4STP/9% DA

Nothing is even close to Ostro in most situations. Even assuming 100%DA Ostro is ~15% TP gain increase, so you would need 15 sTP feet to match it if you wouldn't use any other store TP at all, which is unrealistic. With Samurai roll and jump TP set you have like 120 store TP. Meaning you would need +32 store TP feet to match Ostro.

So, prioritize 100 DA?

Went from Synergy 21 to 80 and still Rank 8, btw.

Wonder if they're tracking lifetime crafting HQs and if so, are they counting synergy crafting separately? I've spent years scrapping sky god seals and years before that tattering abjurations and must have quite a high number of synergy HQs by now.

Normally I'd think no - that if they kept track of this kinda stuff, they'd add a way for you to check it or surface it via some appreciation event moogle or whatever. But we have the oddity of, say, chocobo digging levels - something that they definitely track but that's only indirectly available to us to see.

I figured out how to level synergy again and, in the process, discovered why I had memory-holed it and had basically no records of the process beyond a few BG posts. It doesn't need to involve Lua and is 99% just slamming Enter like an OG turbo controller.

Prep work:
* Remember Model Synergy Furnace II
* Acquire a stack or two of the relevant fewell

Process:
* Trade 1 fewell
* Trade recipe
* Slam enter to feed (Fire is the top option and the recipe skill cap determines your skill up rate afaik, so use the highest level recipe with Fire in it that you can)
* Buff yourself once in a while so you don't die

You can do all of this with windower's alias, setkey, and wait functionality plus the tradenpc addon. That exercise is left to the reader.

Went from Synergy 21 to 80 and still Rank 8, btw.
This is effectively what I did this weekend. Though I did not trade a fewell before the recipe, what effect does this have?

Went from ~29 to 72, also still Rank 8, but I am missing a lot of other stuff too.
