I've unfortunately been busy and haven't watched the full stream, but I always like to double-check supposed mistranslations. Random redditors often have mistranslations/mistakes, so the suspicion is warranted.

First, here is the transcription of the exchange with the relevant bits highlighted (the screen doesn't show the speakers and I forgot the other dude's name, so I'm just going with A-san for the guy speaking to Fujito).

(at this point they all kind of laugh and overlap with interjections at the probing question)

Fujito: まぁ、マター二種類ありますからね。ダークマターがくるかもしれないですね。
EN: Well, there are two kinds of matter. Maybe Dark Matter will appear.
(literally he says "Maybe Dark Matter will come" but in this context it means appear/be present)

So in this case it isn't a mistranslation, Fujito jokingly suggested adding "Dark Matter" after saying "well, there are two types of matter [in the new Limbus]." You can hear him say ダークマター (Daak Mataa) at 22:26 of the stream.

Fwiw, "Murky Matter" is メランマター (Meran Mataa) in Japanese.

But at the end of the day Fujito was being coy. As you suggested, I'd expect to see the other matter as a login point reward eventually.

Also, after skimming the thread people seem to be confused about the DT-35% and DT-18% slide (around 1:33:48). This is just a formatting issue due to the slide's size constraints, no one was saying you need DT-53%.

They were just showing ways to reach DT-50%. You'd need DT-18% from other sources if you only have Empyrean +2 since the full set gives DT-32%, or DT-15% if you have Empyrean +3 since the full set gives DT-35%.

The game mode for this has scratched an itch that I didn't know I had. Also just beat Tower 1 Final fight, and it also took me around 20 times.

I'm so impressed with how the game mode is paced. It's actually difficult without being massively punishing. I'm swapping gear around to optimise for certain fights.

Are some of the same limitations present here? For fodder I'm rocking a lot of Haste, should I be capping that at 26%?

Also fun that it's making me consider some of the old knowledge I had. Haste seems less important when WS are 200 TP. I'm maximising Skill chain damage to great effect.

I also just got a sword with Spontaneity which is making me think a lot about when I cast things.

Is there a way to see the info on Blu spells outside of Managing Blu Spells?

Is the Jeunoan Tree furnishing available right now? The Smilebringer mini-game seems to only award Yule Talismans and foodstuffs for me.

I've been doing a fair amount of Monstrosity and Campaign Ops the past few weeks, but hitting A50 in Chocobo Digging is what finally tipped me over to Rank 9.

A group I was in doing the ranged strat was having trouble dropping the shields on the soulflayer so what they ended up doing was using tactician's and just waiting for the soulflayer to use a TP move, then running in and savage blading. Made the end go faster.

As said many times, SE is very careful to not make trusts better than actual players, they don't want to create situations where people might prefer to summon a trust instead of {Team up?}, which already happens sometimes (freshly leveled 3 songs brd with +3 to songs, or Cornelia?).

Personally I hope it's something like Monberaux, that need upkeep. There needs to be more gil sinks in the game anyway.

On the other side, I think it is the best alternative replacing it instead of revamping it.

Because you end restricting one slot for an all time BiS, what is not the core game philosophy.

Also, you end up making the upgrade process convoluted overtime. Just think the amount of effort required to bring the REM to the last stage. All those steps are purely time/resources sink without a single hint of lore behind it. It is just a convoluted mess people swallow just to make an old toy still relevant (and sometimes, not even that).

So yeah, I think is a bad and risky strategy investing in an old item just for fan service. It is way easier just making a better item drop from a regular mob instead.

Damn, today was the first day I didn't even get us one reset... OTL On all our previous days I'd get us a V at least once during our attempts. Hell last time we did attempts I got a VI that reset my own Wild Card OTL but we had bad second aura AND it was Lights Day.

MUST: Head, feet, legs (PDL* but depends on WS and Nyame rank; doubles as a high accuracy piece).
NICE TO HAVE: Hands for RF
OPTIONAL: Body as a low haste piece.

Relic
MUST: Head for Waltz/Trance, Legs for jig and WSD
NICE TO HAVE: Body for NFR but it doesn't need to be ranked higher than +1 I think for the bonus
OPTIONAL: hands for Fan Dance, feet used to be good but Empyrean are more versatile even with the lower STP. Perhaps +5 bring it back to life

Artifact
MUST: Body for Waltz, hands +4 are BIS for most WS
NICE TO HAVE: Head for Samba duration, but doesn't need to be upgraded past +1. Also doubles as a step accuracy piece, but that's kind of a misnomer nowadays.
OPTIONAL: feet for jig or waltz, but neither are needed for either purpose and waltz sets are better off defensively not utilizing these

Sorry but that is quite outside the scope of what Bars is for, plus XIVParty already does a more than fantastic job of doing what it does. I use it myself and have integrated the Party Actions into my XIVParty party/alliance list and it works great.
