So you would need to make sure other annoying monsters are around him (enough to not end besieged), feed him a ton of TP, and spam magic after Arcane Stomp. Seems possible, unlike the undead swarm or trolls.

When he does arcane stomp, he temporarily absorbs all magic damage. It does wear off, but he can do it whenever. Also, it hits all other mobs in range and lets them absorb magic damage too.
Very annoying move.

I haven't done monstrosity yet but I'm Rank 8 ...do you mean you did 75 species in monstrosity or level 75 a single species?

Released FES Dial key, Cornelia because of Vana'bout success, titles from Limbus will be available again.

FES Dial has some great items, but since it's not a guarantee, quite a few people are saying the FES Dial is stingy. It's similar to the ANV key.

Released new NMs in Limbus, Ultima/Omega Forerunners. The fights became a festival (lots of death hahahaha) of sorts on every server. People think, depending on the population of their servers, that defeating these NMs every month might be too difficult. --->

Fujito-P: when we were planning these, we did not imagine that you would be the same strength as now the entire time; meaning: if you open a lot of boxes, you'll get stronger buffs..."buffs...meaning uh...what was it called....GRACES, yeah hahaha". For fast servers, "they've gotten about half of the strength of the graces so far" Also, we hope that you remember us talking about strengthening Trusts previously, we designed these NMs with both of those in mind because players will keep getting stronger and stronger.

The EXP penalty on death is also pretty painful, right? Yes, with the graces getting stronger than this, we think it will eventually not be a big problem.

Fujito-P: we hadn't added much to synthesis recently, so we wanted to do that at the same time. As far as the strength of the gear, we think that this gear will be similar to Odyssey gear depending on the ranks, with some of the pieces being stronger than the Odyssey counterparts.

---Changed the linking behavior and aggro range of many mobs in Temenos. Euvhi will spawn open or closed, so do your best to keep an eye out for the differences. Changed the shared Dynamis instance for W2 spawn location and added the Boss HP Gauge.

From 1/1 to 1/6 (Japan Time), Shami's Trove event will start. "Does Cats Eye actually show up?" "It does! Good luck!"

From 1/1 to 1/12 (Japan Time), Happy New Year event will take place. You can get the new Alicorn mount from this. Collect items from the event and purchase limited time items from Chacharoon (two types of items, one of each per Earth day) in RuLude Gardens. You can get a special Monstrosity item from the NPCs Ake and Ome (these names are a play on the shortened form of "Happy New Year" in Japanese). This is the 3rd year that we're doing this event.

From 1/16 to 2/4 (Japan time) the next campaign will run (these are the campaigns on the official site; check there for the full list).

--From Fujito-P-- "This year, we took a lot of time to prepare many different things for everyone. We started moving forward on actually putting these into place. We have almost completely finished the server upgrades. We talked before about POL having issues with newer hardware and we're thinking that in 2026 we will be able to finish addressing the issues with this and preparing our new implementation (note: this had no details otherwise, so it could be anywhere from just fixing code to a full rehaul). Also, next year, the Trust strengthening will be coming. We're strengthening them at their core, so a lot of things will be happening there. With the strengthening of Trusts, solo play will become easier to do than currently. You will probably be able to do more and more events with fewer and fewer people if you desire. The Trust updates will be split into two stages next year.

--AMAN Live in Shibuya-- They have announced a live version of the AMAN Live stream. 3/7/2026, split into two parts. Tickets will be a lottery system. First part will have a screening of the FFXI live reading dramas held in 2024 and 2025 with the two people who wrote the dramas there as guests to discuss; a "Special Secret Talk" with two of the game designers (Taniguchi Sho and Watanabe Iyo; guessing on the reading of their given names), talking about this past year in developing the game; and a discussion with the composer behind FFXI music (Naoshi Mizuta) and performances/playing of previously unreleased tracks.

Second part: Live Stream with Fujito-P like this stream. Also, a "live paint" event that people at the venue can take part in. Tickets are available on e-plus in Japan. Part 1 and Part 2 are separate, each costing 4950Y and will come with some stickers and other goods.

Divergence has been difficult to take on solo for many people. With the updates to the Trusts coming in the next year, it will become much easier, but for people who can't wait, we wanted to talk about upgrading your Empy armor to +2 to make your trips to Divergence easier.

Talking about why Empy is good. DT conversation. Murky Ring, Adoulin Ring. Chart showing the various Meva values of gear and the importance of DT and Meva in your gear. Malignance has more DT and meva than Empy+3 so it comes after those in strength of defenses.

There are a lot of people who struggle with the Vagary fights to get even Empy+1. We wanted to show these battlefield fights with Vagary bosses, so we're going to fight Plouton. We're going to have a handicap here and only use Malignance, Tauret/Ternion+1, Ambu Cape, a DT neck and D ring without other pieces.

Fighting Plouton to show people how to do it and the trusts they recommend.

They mentioned that they'll be adding more content to We Are Vana'diel. They didn't show what the new content would be, but I assume more interviews.

They are having an in-person AMAN Live event. It seems like they'll have some of the current devs speak at this event about what 2025 was like from their perspective. They'll also be interviewing the GOAT, Mizuta, on what it was like to compose for The Voracious Resurgence, along with performing unreleased tracks. As part of this event, Fujito will be talking about future plans for the game with a segment on the Trust Updates. The event will be on March 7th. It's crazy that FFXI will have an event of this size in 2026, even if it's JP only.

Imagine if someone made an addon called angel help master that helped you spend conquest points, where every time you walk past a delivery NPC it sends a % of your gil to his mule without even opening the UI.
