Today my boss asked me why I was absent 2 days last month.

The reason was because I had a flu. Not a strong flu to justify looking for a doctor to get an attestation, but sufficiently dangerous to get worse if I had to spend 8h under company AC.

Given I do hybrid work, its not like I just didnt work, but I worked from home when I had to be at office.

This isnt a big deal, but those 16h (2 days) became a debt.so I would need to work extra hours at office to make up those hours I worked at home.

You know, recently I tjought deeply about this, and this is so wrong.

If I work those 16h at office to make up those losses, in practice itnwould be the same as working 2 days for free to the company.

It would only make sense working those extra hours if I simply didnt work at all those days. So, in theory it is my loss for working a day I supposely had to go to office.

I also had a large debt of hours in my last job. When I quit, they discount almost 2 months of works, despite I even worked at weekends in my last job.

All of this just makes more.malicious toward my work.

There is no reason to feel guilty if I spend like 1h at cafeteria or reading news.

The company wont think twice to discount honest working hours. So I shouldnt think twice to take my time not rushing things here

For what it's worth, according to what SE said, the 5k chest always has a higher rate of matter (barring your server killing 0 nms and having a zero drop rate on matter of course). And at a certain number of nm kills, it becomes 100%. They didn't specify how many, but obviously 100% kills does reach that threshold.

What service interruption? You mean queue lines and congestion?

Do other MMO's offer refunds when there is congestion? Did Blizzard offer refunds when players couldnt log in to WoW due to congestion? Did SE offer refunds when players couldnt log in to FFXIV?

If the new O/U spawn conditions are related to fomors, Asura will figure it out.

Trying to write up a small sum-up of Limbus chests and matters, would love if anybody could fix errors, so that we can put this on BG-wiki.

• The 5k chest rotates and it's always one of the 4 possible chests you can open at any given time.

• The 5k chest is randomly assigned to a new chest each time you open it. It's gonna stay in that position until you open it.
  Once you do it's gonna get randomly assigned again to one of the 4 chests (even the same you just opened).

• Weekly tally does NOT reset the 5k chest current position. (Not sure about monthly maintenance, maybe it does reset it?)

• The 5k Chest will always contain a matter, if your server killed all NMs the previous month.

Meanwhile on the almighty populated Asura, at least 3 NMs are up, with the patch coming in a few days know what it means? That Asura won't have the "100% NMs killed" for next month.

To be entirely fair though, with the *** up way SE intended this system, it's hard to blame people for lack of motivation on killing them, really hard.

I dont know if you misunderstood what I was saying, but the 70% of the playerbase that would be pissed off would be the ones on the 3-5k servers who just got *** over into a 10k server.

I agree with your explanation and everything I've seen over the past month further supports it, that's not what I was implying that I disproved.

There was a different explanation, though, that was posted in the Limbus thread and then again recently in this thread a few posts up that had a different explanation. The claim was that the 5k chest would 'cycle' through each of the four zones before beginning a new, randomly generated cycle. So, assuming you were starting a new cycle and found the 5k chest in North, East, and West, you could be certain that the 5k chest for your next run would be in Central. I'm simply claiming that *this* explanation is not true.

Any time you find a 5k chest, each tower probably has a 25% chance of containing the next 5k chest, instead of being able to narrow down and predict the location based on previous locations.

I calculated it manually. It's pretty simple to calculate averages for this. There is no jump simulation in Kastra sim and I definitely won't make one to prove you anything. I have better things to do :)

I mean, it's definitely a dumb name, but it's still what everyone knows me by and people have gear signed by me from 15 years ago and it would suck if the character I was playing suddenly had a different name.

It would also suck if I had to explain to everyone I partied with: hey, even though my character name is Hownowbrowncow, this is Maletaru. Then people will keep calling me male, because that's been my name for decades, and other people will be like, who TF is male? Then we have to explain that I'm male, because my character name used to be maletaru. And I'll have screenshots from 18 years ago that show the same character as screenshots I take today, but with a different name. It sucks.

Plus, it's not just about ME. What if someone has a really awesome name, they just managed to get because they started early on, like their own first name, or sephiroth or some ***. Well, that name's getting nuked too.

I think one of the AI biggest challenges is the old and evil framing.

By framing is that technique developed during the past century and extensively used in the context of narrative wars.

And I think AI is losing against framing.

Why I think that? Well, it is becoming extremelly common someone refering a low quality work as something "AI generated".

Bad code? "This guys code must be AI written". Bad art? "Must be AI generated". Bad text? Bad powerpoint? Bad summary? Etc.

How is it possible to consolidate a tecnology if currently such tecnology is related to the worst quality?

Intentional or not, humans are steadly sabotaging AI by refusing any value generated by it. And not only denying its value, but labeling it with so much prejudice.

I feel like this round of human vs machine, humans have he upperhand.

AI is not generating enough value to bend human skepticism

tbh I'm a huge fan of "character name came directly from character making screen", like, if someone was named Heightslider I'd be like "what a good name"

Basic conclusion is that the most efficient hunting mechanism is to cycle towers. It would be disproven the first time someone does a full cycle without finding the 5k

I think the claim is that it is randomly assigned to a zone when you open it, so your observation doesn't disprove it.

What would disprove it would be opening the same chest twice in a row, getting 3k the first time and 5k the second time.

What is this, 2018? You wish Square Enix would finally start banning cheaters after all the years these players have spent putting in countless hours, while Square Enix has done nothing about them? Pretty sick if you ask me.

If It haven't happen in the past decade, nothing will happen now.
From what I'm told, Asura barely noticed a difference despite been locked down for almost 5 months.

I haven't heard much from my buddies over on Bahamut (where I used to play before moved to Shiva) other than yell/shouts become more infected with RMT yells other than that its business like usual. I logged in last night on a mule there and it was refreshing to see 1700 people online.

I hope they keep Asura Closed Forever and Ban all cheaters in it.

You can grind it all out on the final day before the weekly reset, but I'd personally recommend that you give yourself 2-3 days. The beastmen don't appear in zone immediately after killing the previous wave, and you need to wait for them (sometimes hours). When I unlock Fiat Lux and need to gain influence in the northern zones, I usually get started on Thursday evening, and keep going through Friday-Saturday.

Is this something that you should be actively be trying to do all week or can you just grind it out on the final day before Conquest Tally reset?
