Always thought they saw BST being able to potentially lock some camps down due to charm shenanigans, as well as being able to "solo" some NMs where there was only 1 pop available as the reason they slowly just moved away from it in favor of jugs, along with simply removing charmable mobs in later areas entirely plus just being a more controlled way to make it able to do content.

Merit refill. OCD when merits are blue and I haven't used them in a while. Kill time between Sortie/Limbus shouts. That kind of thing. Don't even do it for the drop, just idle time while shout watching as a single-box player. After a while you'll see you amassed stacks of REMA stone boxes and THAT was your reward. ; ;

It's not as I guess "required" as they saw malignance to be so I doubt they'll ever change it, maybe make a crep box if they saw that was a roaring success, maybe, probably not

If they fixed that trash drop rate, Id probably bother with the HTMB. Till then, Ill just rely on trove.

The battle simulators aren't the same as an official nintendo event. Say you go to the world championship. You can't run Jirachi unless you have one from some obscure event Nintendo ran a long time ago and transferred it through a convoluted system to get it to get it in Scarlett and Violet.

Whether a non-Nirvana SMN can beat a Nirvana SMN (they can) isn't very relevant (IMO), because you're talking about YOU with a Nirvana vs YOU without a Nirvana. It will improve your damage. Significantly. Especially with AM3.

I loved Feral Howl as a Dyna Proc (when I was soloing Dyna currency as BST/DNC with Ladybug).
It was an additional JA proc every 5 mins and also an oh-***button if you happened to pull/aggro too many mobs at the same time and needed some breath.


When I levelled BST back in the old 75 days for me it was a "break" from the insanely stress that was "waiting hours trying to get a PT invite for exp, or trying to build a pt from zero".
We all had that experience, especially if you were levelling a job that wasn't considered meta, it was a very long wait for invites, then a long wait to reach the camp, then people getting lost, then getting to camp and someone having to leave or DC 10 mins after.
Made you want to flip several tables.

So yeah BST for me was a rigorously solo experience to play at my pace, relaxed, as /WHM exploiting camps with Charm.
Wasn't fast but it was helluva relaxing and you felt such a nice series of feelings when you were using Familiar on a strong pet to slaughter capped zones (like in Sacrarium etc), maaan I loved Charm and was so proud of my charm build.

To the point that to me was the "core" element of BST and I was really angry when they slowly shifted towards jugs (which always existed, Courier Carrie anyone? But they were an "alternative" for when you couldn't charm anything, a backup plan, not the main element of gameplay).
In hindsight what can I say? They would've had to completely rework how charm works for it to make it work in a cooperative game like this.
Jugs were the easiest path. I still feel jugs should work differently, but whatevs.

Something similar happened to me some time ago.
Eventually after zoning and as I kept talking over and over and over and over to the guy, he gave me the psyches.

I've done around a bit less than 500 VD runs and I only ever saw 2 non accessory drops:
Two helms.
Both happened not on my solo runs but in two of the few "zerg" runs I did with a couple of friends.
Let them get both helms XD

If you did them daily I imagine if you spent the same time farming gil and buying the drops from A.M.A.N. you could have bought his full loot pool 2-3 times over.

But which direction were you facing when you killed it? :P

What methods are there to getting Dark Ores/Beads, because AH camping aint working. I've snagged like 6 in a month. Tree Saplings in the mog house does not count, thats a four week endeavor.

In no order:
1-Amber Cleave Visions of Abyssea areas, Ores can load in gold boxes.
1A-Cleave in Konschtat and desynth dark rings and hope for beads (No good Emp weapon to work on here though doing this)
2-Cleave in Scars of Abyssea areas, Beads can load in gold boxes.
3-Fish up Turnabaligi and turn in to Zaldon and hope for the best (~1% drop rate documented)
4-Plant Tree Cuttings in Garden Furrows, insta-grow with Grow-m-Good and hope for Tree Saplings, plant Tree Saplings in Garden Furrow and then
A-insta grow with Grow-M-Good and repeat.
B-fertilize with Dark crystal and check back in 2 days.
I should hire Susuroon to grow rare items no matter if I do A or B. I'm presuming Elemental Ores would fall under "rare crops" and dark crystal (B only) should make any ores earned Dark Ores.

I'm not going to try to convince you to change your ways, but I would like to push back a bit on the idea that this is saving 15 spaces.

You can just not get (or toss) the pieces you don't want.
If, for some reason, you feel inclined to get all the pieces, rather than holding them in your inventory, you could store them on another slip (original, reforged, reforged+1, etc.) So at best it's saving 3? inventory spaces. Per character, not per job.

So...you might want to reconsider this inventory "saving" strategy.

Like they don't even need the games any more, as far as I can tell. Other than to tell them what's new, what's legal, and all that jazz.

We're both doing really well! Her, Aria, and myself have been hanging out all weekend. She says hi btw and agrees that it really was an awesome time. We've both tried coming back in various ways (Wings/Horizon mostly), and she dabbles with retail now and then. I think she's on Asura now.

I remember when they introduced Feral Howl i macro'd it as "Oshi" button, thinking it'd be game changer for my survivability.
