My personal favorite is DMX, I am interested in seeing some others from the FFXIAH community.
Please don't bother posting with "rap is gay", or anything of the sort, as witty and clever as those responses are.
I'm just interested in hearing opinions from other fans of the genre, so for those that match that criteria, post your favorite rapper, rappers, or rap group! =D

Mr.Shakur is my number one on the list and always will be. Big fan of Ice cube , Eazy , Nas , Snoop ( before Sensual Gayduction ) and plenty of others . East coast ***like Redman , Method , ODB ( All of Wu-tang really ) . Rap is kind of dead at the moment I like a couple of songs from various rappers like Gorilla Zoe some Gucci mane tracks are actually good . ***forgot about Busta Rhymes , DMX and of course afroman when I smoke hah . This list is missing alot of people but could't be bothered writing a long list :/

Gangstarr, Black Thought, A Tribe Called Quest, The Roots, Common, Mos Def, Lupe Fiasco, Little Brother, Slum Village
Those are some that have gotten daily rotation on my playlists over the past 15+ years. Though I don't like to lump them in with "rap". I define rap as "pop hip hop". Most of my favorites get little radio play due to lyrical content being above "alcohol, hoes, cars, clothes". Hence most of these being coined as "consciousness hip hop". Nice to see people on here listen to rap and hip hop . Most I see is rock , dance and that fairy anime *** which I can't relate to.
