Well let's take a look here. Turban + Dusk Gloves + V.belt (or swift) + Kitty pants + Fumas = 20-22% haste Full Perle = 13% from pieces & bonus. Hmmmmmmmmmmm. Sorry quote wouldn't work for some reason ^^ As pointed out set is 14% plus you cant compare just set to the others with a belt... Turban + Dusk + V.belt (or swift) + Kitty and Fumas 20-22% Full Perle with belts 18-20. Now if you don't have Kitty because SE hates you like me ^^ then Perle full set offers you good haste and also better other stats then Turban, Dusk etc. But yeah people with Kittys are probably just wearing because its new and cool looking.

Yeah, many people went nuts over the fact that DRG and other non-haidate wearing jobs finally had a chance to get some pants wit haste, even if they weren't as awesome as kitty pants.
Now that Perle is out, the full set comes very close. Now it's time to find more situational things to do with Blitzer/Desultors. DRG has homam, though. but perle is easier to get.

Yeah, and now that I look at it, Full homam (excluding head for turban) adds up to the same amount of haste as full Perle. Drk: 5/5 Perle wins in most situations even over ebody with 3/5 Homam and Turban. Sam: 5/5 will only win if you don't have Byakko's..imo its acceptable to use if you do not have byakko's. If you have Byakko's on sam and are using 5/5 Perle instead you should prolly just quit the game. Alittle of topic and has been said many times before but thought i'd say it again.

Not sure if it's been mentioned, I quickly skimmed over but I may have missed it, so:
If I remember right, based on Homam x3, Haub/+1 and Turban, Perle wins by a respectable margin; giving the same Haste+% and much much more in terms of Stat bonuses. Though loses to Byakko's jobs when they're given similar TP gear. Raen did a comparison that shows the major differences (in terms of TP gear) between your typical Homam job and Perle.
