I bought all my fish, although it's not as bad as it sounds given that I went 1/14 and 1/15, so I barely spent any gil at all.
The trouble was finding Gugrusaurus on the AH, but once people realized they were selling well at the moment people started semi-flooding the auction house.

1/600ish Opal Silk (got pissed and stopped counting) and 1/50ish Saber Shoot. Had a friend help me with Lik and I also caught my own. I attemped to fish my own Gugs and failed so I just bought them. I am still 99.7 fishing, cannot seem to get the last .3 =(

Finally got the urge to try and finish(i.e. even get my 1st item), fishing 100, I went and got ww to 72 on a mule to repair my rod, I go out and fish 35 lik.

My Ebisu was around 3 million gil total most of which were spent on gugru. 1/12 Opal Silk and about 1/200 or 250ish I forget, but it was somewhere in that range. Now doing this for my brother and also got his Opal Silk in 1/12 and currently 0/16 for gugru. My advice is not to sell all your gear but to just level fishing and spend as little gil as possible. The 3 million for me was the amount I saved from fishing leveling to 78, however I do think I was very lucky but just my 2 cents. Good luck to all fishers aiming for Ebisu! It's definitely worth it :D

i paid 10 mil for mine and got it inside of a week
i made up the gil lost in about 9 days
time has value, spend all the gil you can afford, because eisbu will make your money back fast

Thanks! I can't believe i got both items today..I only said yesterday that I'm going to stop buying alexandrite and focus on ebisu, because with it I can buy so much more.
Hi all. I have tried searching numerous forums but I didn't find much of what I was looking for.
I'm looking for some people to share their lucky or unlucky streaks of finding those rare items found inside the Bellys of the Lik and Gugrusaurus. Currently I'm 0/38 on Gugrusaurus.
I hear rumors of people going 0/1000+ on these items to be ~1% chance of finding them. I hope I'm not one of those unlucky fellows.
If you wouldn't mind sharing your experience, I'd be greatful. Any advice or input is greatly appreciated.
