After dropping from 10ish mil down to under 3, I will have my Ebisu on Sunday. Funny enough, after all the Lik I bought I got the item from one I fished up.

I'll share my manthra with you. i don't get the problem with lungfish. just spend one day catching a bunch and you've got easy gp. it's a lot of points. i'd rather get lungfish than moat carp.

Lik - 1/233 So glad I managed to keep the cost under what I can sell my Lu Shangs for. Sadly I finished this Sunday afternoon, so I have to wait the full time till next conquest. :( I was trying desperately to get it done before JP midnight, but the server just ran out of Liks. I'm 1/232 lik, and 0/452 on gug atm;;
mule was 1/44 gug, 1/91 liks. 1/71 on Gugs
1/978 on Liks LUCKY ME! :D 0/588 on gugs now sigh, gotta wait another week and hope I get one lol.

0/250ish Saber Shoot I feel like my bad fortune with Gugs is directly related to my good fortune with Liks... I just recently hit 70 fishing and considering going for Ebisu, from what I see posted I hope I am one of the lucky ones lol.
0/250 is not bad luck, I went 1/750+, and there is one guy on my server went 1/1200+.

So i decided that since i have a mule i should get it an ebisu rod, so as soon as i hit 30 i started fishing gugs on my main to give to my mule, 100 later and im 0/100 today i decide to go for round 2 and 1/22 oh yea making it a total of 1/122. I then still had enough fishes i can catch before i capped for the day so i went after liks only caught 57 and i went 1/49 woot woot.
so as of this post my mule is: Fishing: 42 GP: 5k Gug: 1/122 Lik: 1/49 go go skill ups and good gp items :) Main: 1/34 Lik
1/403 Gugs Mule: 1/101 Lik 1/24 Gugs Bought all fish for main; fished 95% for mule. Much easier 2nd time around. Now for matsya... Edit: Matsya: 1/17 Kiss my butt Zaldon, never again! 1/419 Lik.
1/96 Gugrusaurus. 0/400+ on Liks, 0/300+ on Gugs, obviously running low on patience. Is it even worth it? I have spent far more than the cost of a Lu Shangs so far and that means a lot to someone who missed the blinkers bandwagon and doesn't have millions and millions lying around...

Once u have it you will understand its pure gil making gold. Yes it's worth it if ur serious about making gil fishing... I forgot to mention I have 4 lu shangs I trade them all for 1 Ebisu in a heart beat *** zaldon being a stingy hoe I lost counts on my liks because it just makes me angry to think how much this is costing me in time and gil lol. Depends how much and often you're actually going to be using your Ebisu. I mean of course it's worth it. But not if it's just one of those "for funzies" sort of thing. If you're going to be using it a substantial amount and relying on it as a way to make gil or what have you then absolutely, keep going for it. You've just had bad luck with it, but one thing is for sure... If you stop now you KNOW you won't get it. But if you at least work on it on the side for a while, and not grind out another 300+ all in a row, then it will make you want to pull out your hair less. Make it a side project. But I wouldn't suggest stopping all together. |
