Random Thoughts.....What Are You Thinking?

Prolly missed it but whats with all the weird pink bars o.O pay day needs to hurry up! new sexy cloths :D

We won't be moving in for at least another year or so, I'm just looking early to get a good feel for what we can expect for our price range, home values, how fast they sell, that sort of thing. So far I'm pleasantly surprised, we estimate our price range will get a 3 bed, 2 bath home with a fenced backyard. What we're finding instead is loads of homes in that range with 4 or 5 beds, 3 or 4 baths, hot tubs, pools, privacy fences, multiple fireplaces and patios, the works.

But we'll see how the housing market goes, by the time we are ready it might well be more what we expected, a small modest home with 3 beds and 2 baths. Good enough for us! Maybe we should lower our price range, still get our minimum "home wishlist," and save some money. But hot tubs and patios and fireplaces, oh my! xD

But if our future house doesn't have a hot tub, maybe we'll buy one to plunk down on the patio and have a party anyways. xD Bring cookies!

Means I have to get in shape quicker for the hot tub party D:

I love accents. <3 Love them! Especially English accent, Irish and Scottish brogue, Australia and Kiwi accents, and cute Canadian accents. My German professor had a great accent too. He probably cringed a little inside whenever he heard me massacring the German language. ;; lol

I've never looked at homes outside of Texas so I'm always shocked at the prices people say.

my wife and are looking for a similar house as Liela, 3/4 bed 2 bath and our budget is $140k... Found an amazing quick sale for 80k, but we didn't have a down payment at the time.

For the best though. I get to quit my job at the end of the year and full time school this way and still be comfortable financially.

Well to put it in perspective let me tell a quick tale!

5 or 6 years ago I got horrid food poisoning from burger king.I never ate it again for 4 years,then I had 1 random meal one day and felt like crap.And today was the last time I ate there since that random meal.

Not sure about real estate there, but $300K gives you a lot of options! I've come to the conclusion that we'll be moving in a couple of years. I realistically don't think my house has the square footage for my kiddo and more, if that ends up being the case.

Depending on when you guys want to get started, a fourth bedroom wouldn't be a bad idea. I had to combine my study and guest bedroom for Lukas's room. I wish I had maybe a formal living room I could close off to have a study. Not sure if I'll need a playroom. (I don't like clutter! RAWR!) I miss having a fireplace too. :( Pools and hot tubs can be a lot of maintenance and expensive.

Rambling...Sorry. A little extra room in anticipation wouldn't be bad though.

With the price of houses here after the economy crash,you'd be stupid to buy one. Everyone builds their own now with how cheap labour and materials are. There are small apartments right beside my gym for 115k,that kinda money now would build you a good 3-4 bedroom sized house.
