That passage says "If you don't get married and have children and see that they also get married, you are doing it wrong and the goddess will not be pleased" The Mahabharata is a desperate failed attempt to find meaning in life and achieve immortality while laying out rules for the foundation of society. always carry the two" Alot of it is stories about people who did it right/wrong and were blessed/cursed etc because of their decisions. It's kind of like the bible and the book of revalations, without the lion headed locust monsters.
