Anything over 11 fps is wasted anyway, like for example quiz's eyes wouldn't even be able to discern the difference between 30 and that
You're good to go
quiz is just being his normal 'gotta have the bestest ***ever omgawd' self, nothing new.
:< there's a difference between ^ and "playing" games at 11 or 18fps
I mean ... you're right ... but you can still technically play them at a low FPS... used to do it all the time :p
Personally I cant enjoy games like that, when I'm basically missing half of w/e is going on
you know...
know I'd probably say the same thing if I were to have to suffer through it... I like having my decent FPS :p
Even between 50 and 60 FPS you can notice the change but above 60 FPS it's not really noticeable so aiming for 60 is a good idea but even around 50 it's not bad if you're building on a budget
pretty much this. when you drop even 5 fps from 60,you can see it. Even though I have an extremely powerful pc and and 3x 144hz monitors,I still sync basically everything to 60fps
Stuff like Depth of Field and Ambient Occlusion you can turn down because you don't notice it too much (AO you notice in screenshots but not as much when playing and running around)
Also how do people play with DoF on? Can't look at faraway things >_>

Hence what DoF stands for xD
Yeah but I mean how do people play with it on >_> It looks bad lol
Yeah, seems my laptop isn't as 'great' as I thought.

Does it actually let you shift what you focus on? I don't think it did that in 1.0 which made it unrealistic lol
I'm not sure how it'd work in XIV,but likely yes. To put it in simple terms,it's the equivilant of near sighted/far sighted. Most games only use it in specific things. Crysis springs to mind. When you hold your gun up to mod it,it does it. XIV and the like though might not now I think about it actually. Because of the focus moving so much from a moving camera/world
edit: I barely played 1.0 and even when I did,SE never supported 5xx and 6xx cards properly,I could barely play it with medium settings because it'd keep crashing direct x because of the fail programming

never did notice anything in the beta changing from it.

I know what it does but I wondered if XIV lets you shift focus because in 1.0 everything far away was blurry instead of what you weren't looking at.

It's likely just really far away stuff then, out in mob infested areas and whatnot. Rather than a house you're in front of vs stuff 50 feet away
edit: @ drac,I couldnt tell you tbh, because of my lack of experience with 1.0 properly

I'll have to try that once p4 hits, or maybe ... brave the OF ... (*** that...)
yeah no joke lol... he's *** disgusting to eat with sometimes (I mean he has good manners and all that...) I mean I'm not one to preach eating healthy... but I ...
I dunno man lol... I tried one ... got through like ... a quarter of it and almost puked.
This is a thread that I found on another website I post at. It can be really really interesting. I thought it deserved a place here.
Post your random thoughts for the day here, or anything else that intrigues you.
For starters, is it possible to give constructive critism to someone who doesn't have a neck? I totally just walked by a girl who didn't. Someone isn't getting a necklace for Valentines day!
And who decided black and white can't be colors? I want to say a racist. I really do.
