I'll remember this when classes start up for me on the twenty second.
you going to start teaching?
I already am. Classes at ASU start on the 22nd, but classes at the school I'm doing my student teaching started on the 5th.
awesome man! I wish you the best and hope the little shits dont give you too much of a hard time.
too bad you arent military. If i dont do my homework or school stuffs i could lose my rank and half my pay for 2 months among other bad things
Thankie, sir. So far it's going well. I'm the "cool teacher", so I'm always cracking jokes and trying to get them to feel welcome around me. The guys who came in to observe my teaching style said I have "already established a rapport" with my students. Now, let's see how that rapport goes when it's months into the semester and everyone's getting sick to death of class while we're forcing them to write research papers and read Jane Eyre. But, I'm in this for the long haul and I'm confident that it's going to go swimmingly. Plus, my placement is awesome and I'm practically getting spoiled. Own desk: check. Laptop: check. Big room with a huge view of the city outside: check. Highly experienced teacher who's letting me take lead on the video production class: check. These are all the things I'll probably never get on my first paying job. Buuuut, I'm enjoying it while I can. And the students are great, so I'm loving it.

your first job will prob be tough to be sure. To bad you dont have a technical job or you could be a contractor teaching us military types. You would get better pay and benefits than half the new guys around here
Mah.. 2am, can't sleep and now i'm checking for indoor climbing places nearby.. that looks so fun ._.
probably the best idea I've had in a long time! I even called ahead of time "uhh hey, I want to use your facilities and don't even know where to begin or what to ask for or what to do..halp.." and he helped me with everything so I didn't feel dumb walking in.
and now I want to do this now really bad

atm my arms are not really that tired, I suppose I'll feel really awful in the morning.
tell you what though, being the person holding the rope at the bottom (the belayer) is alot of work too.
I went with my 13yo little sister and my 19yo sister..so my little sister couldnt belay..she had to be like over 16 and some weight and some shiznit so me and my other sister had to switch off. I think I got more of a workout from belaying than anything else.
When a man masturbates, and another person grabs his arm and makes him do the motion. It's sort of like a cross between masturbation and a handjob. He is still holding on, but the other person is still moving your arm.

The first year will be tough, this is damn true. However, that first year they still give you a mentor to fall back on, and it's still a fresh idea. Pretty much every teacher I've spoken to about which year was the toughest on them all pretty much unanimously said was the second year. At that point, the safety net dissipates and it begins to sink in on you that this is what you're doing for the rest of your life. Most teachers quit the profession in the second year. So, I figure if I can make it past that point, I'll be golden. 2.999999 years to go.
This is a thread that I found on another website I post at. It can be really really interesting. I thought it deserved a place here.
Post your random thoughts for the day here, or anything else that intrigues you.
For starters, is it possible to give constructive critism to someone who doesn't have a neck? I totally just walked by a girl who didn't. Someone isn't getting a necklace for Valentines day!
And who decided black and white can't be colors? I want to say a racist. I really do.
