So.. I'm not sure exactly what I want to do.

Here's the story; I decided to try out FFXIV in Phase 3 Beta and was on Behemoth with the FFXIAH LS, this meant I ended up with the same people on Excalibur...who, unfortunately see me sense of humor odd, perverted, and annoying (sorry for that). Needless to say, I don't really fit in very well. Soon after XIV went live I got a text from a friend from XI who said they had restarted the LS as both an LS and FC on Balmung. I'm not very social and have a hard time talking to people, so it's very lonely for me on Excalibur. Recently I've been thinking of transferring, though trying not to think about it but now the free transfers are open and I'm hit with this "this is it, now is the time to choose.." situation and I'm not sure what exactly I want to do. I want to be among friends but I don't want to leave Excalibur, I like you guys even if I don't fit in well and I can't make up my mind.

Any advice? Words of wisdom?

I dont know you said you are miserable on excalibur, why not make new friends there?

I'm on Excal and I think in one of the same LSs as you. I haven't played (or paid attention) a whole awful lot yet (I'm still dipping my toes in and deciding how much I want to play) but I don't remember you being disliked. I don't remember anyone saying anything against you. I think when the mix of personalities gets more used to each other, everyone will have a place.

But, that being said, if you are lonely or not having as much fun as you'd like, then you should go back to your other server and other friends. I think too often people forget that games are about having fun, and if you aren't having fun, then something somewhere is going wrong and if you are able to fix it, you should. And you shouldn't feel guilty about it. Do what is fun and right for you in this situation and don't feel bad.

Ya, or you could maybe first try making a character on your friends' server just to get a feel for how things are before transferring!
