wuss! traffic is no big deal, rain just makes it more fun!
an hour to get home and tired with stress and rain makes peopel slip into other cars when trying to stop, sadly, I have done it too. It's ok tho, I can wait today. No one waiting for me at home... /foreveralone.jpg
hmm, I thought you lived further south than that...
Spent a semester down in Richmond, made a few visits to ODU with some friends during HS times, and FOlks and Brother live out in Leesburg, so I am out there every few weeks, but that's about it. I live in the DC Beltway.
I was in DC a few months ago, the woman broke down and cried due to the traffic, I drove it like a boss.
If and when possible, I jump curbs with half my truck to make my right turns when the person ahead of me can't move up them 8' ahead of them to let me through or u-turns on the GW Parkway when ***hits the fan. Now that is what I call Driving like a Boss in DC traffic. Mind you, a jackass in how it sounds, but....I just can't take it sometimes.
Step Between Stars, fighting the Voth. I selected the beam things for support.
First wave went good. Tuvok was knocked unconscious on the second wave. Third wave, I hit security escort, my horta, and shard of possibilities. I'm pretty sure all my doffs procced, because a glorious army appeared and marched into battle ahead of me...
Right into the beam, vaporizing them all and leaving me to die alone, unable to fight back in shocked disbelief.
I ROFL when I read it first time, and still am! XD

hmm I plan to long distance (online) to odu when I finish the studies needed to transfer, probably going to go for an electrical engineering major/it minor just for the lulz and self hatred.

Good idea on first, as I think I have warned you about there, and LOL on second bolded.
I don't want to go to that side of the state, cost of living is just too high. Then again it's too high here...
I eventually want to do design for things and sell products and make a living doing that, projects here and there, paying out 30k here 60k there, maybe a few mil once and again, depending on the project, etc.
But in the mean time it doesn't hurt to improve my alternate career of IT, I'd like to eventually get into network engineering, buildouts, maintenance etc, instead of desktop support, well mostly due to the pay scale difference, that and I enjoy building things.

I just nerd out on systems implementation, I may be up around the DC greater region soon, not sure. I need a better job than this current one, trying to avoid having to drive very far, but may just need to do it.

As someone that drives an hour to work, and have heard of even worse commutes, its taxing on you...
Its good that you nerd out on it, whatever you enjoy building, didnt figure you meant liek a building/structure either. Building other things, components, PCs, Cat Nip Virus Killers, can be as rewarding.

I can't program for ***.
I wouldn't mind doing a bit of drafting or something and even thought about doing a drafting class or two for the lulz but I imagine I wouldn't enjoy it... mostly due to I imagine I'd probably get a teacher that's a ***.

The teachers I did have when I was taking classes (10 years ago) weren't so bad.
Welp traffic has simmered down and now to go home to practice some Intergalactic Cowboy Diplomacy
This is a thread that I found on another website I post at. It can be really really interesting. I thought it deserved a place here.
Post your random thoughts for the day here, or anything else that intrigues you.
For starters, is it possible to give constructive critism to someone who doesn't have a neck? I totally just walked by a girl who didn't. Someone isn't getting a necklace for Valentines day!
And who decided black and white can't be colors? I want to say a racist. I really do.
