I got to get a cheapo webcam for the final interviews with whatever potential employers show interest though. Audio is fine, but video, meh... I could take it or leave it.
Well, I mean we've had the same screenshots for a couple weeks, now. I'm tired of looking at Squall's poorly photoshopped grin and the Galka on Mithra hot furry colibri action.

What happened to them all? Just a bunch of RL stuff keeping them busy?
Scragg's wife recently had a baby, Jaerik works for Disney's gaming department, Cliff develops software for space exploration, I think, Aureole, I'm not sure.
If I had the skill, I'd ask for permissions to fix problems, but it's not something I'd want permanently.
I miss Jaerik. I used to PM him all the time back in day and get him involved in the political and financial threads.

Jae is awesome. I haven't seen him on since just before I became a mod. Cliff and Aureole, I've never seen online.
I mean as somebody who works with as many boards and old stuff as you do, you can see the benefit to be able to easily and cheaply reproduce casings.
It depends how big and the materials used. There's no reason why CNC machines can't do this either, just someone has to put the size metal into the machine.
If they can get a 3D printer to do some type of fiber glass, I mean how cool would it be to make a car parts, hot tubs, boats. Replacement parts for hips and joints.
It would be big though, it would have to have a rotating arm that moves around an area, spray towards the center of the area and some type of inflatable device to allow the fiberglass to spray and hold a shape.
EDIT> I did mean carbon fiber also...
/maniacal laugh
yup
I'm just hoping it spurts some much needed redefining of copyright/patent laws, back to their original intent.
I just want to be able to make what I need to, I really should take a CAD class...

With the right machine, tooling, and knowledge, can make almost anything in a cnc. I wish I could hijack my company's 5axis to make some really cool ***, but I'd probably get fired.
Come to think of it, i should try and get my pauldrons for my mnk af cosplay 3d printed, would be way easier then all the carving i would have to do to make a negative to cast them in aluminum.
I wonder if there's a way I could just use the games 3d model to make a file from, that would make everything super simple.
This is a thread that I found on another website I post at. It can be really really interesting. I thought it deserved a place here.
Post your random thoughts for the day here, or anything else that intrigues you.
For starters, is it possible to give constructive critism to someone who doesn't have a neck? I totally just walked by a girl who didn't. Someone isn't getting a necklace for Valentines day!
And who decided black and white can't be colors? I want to say a racist. I really do.
