I have been reading and listening to podcasts that talked about the 'Retro VGS'. It's got some big name people running this project but I am still on the fence about it.
It's going to be a cartridge based system planning on games from early days up to Playstation 1 days. One of their major pushes is the 16-Bit era.
But...
There's no online capabilities, they want hardware not emulating software and it sounds like they are trying to build a library of yesterday games while getting newer sequels made of them also.
With "Ouya" slowly hanging on, seems to be the exact opposite.
I have a huge NES collection and most of them I find to be old and boring. While there's always treasures like Sega Genesis Phantasy Star/Sonic/Rayman, TurboGrafx Utopia/Bonk/Ninja Spirits and NES Zelda/Super Mario/Metroid, is a different system really going to bring me a gaming experience that I can say, "you have to buy this system?"
