*flies overhead curious at what Dreadnot is putting under a box thing, and notices the almighty cupcake with frosting*

*flies down and falls on top of the cupcake smooshing it and eating the frosting as Dreadnot drops the box on me*

I regret nothing!

Damn just finished reading Iron Knight pretty good. Too bad it got axed so soon.

I wonder why it was axed, it was really good. Japanese have no taste, all they want are big *** with an MC that is more boring than watching paint dry.

-Victory Fanfare music plays-

You captured a Kalibat!

*strikes a victory pose and knocks over the box*

You released the Kalibat!

*watches as Kalibat flies away*

Yeah the author even revealed every planned plot twist in the last chapter. Will admit though compared to other mangas that get axed it had a decent ending.

Is it normal for failed / canceled mangas to reveal the ending?

Yeah but we need more mangas that are interesting like that. Also more novel adaptions that don't *** end after 4 volumes on a cliffhanger (looking at you Mismarca Koukou Monogatari)

They usually get a few chapters to end the series so they try to wrap it up as best they can

This was axed after 17 chapters, doesn't even give the mangaka any time to really develop the story

I don't get readers in Japan lol, manga where nothing really happens (slice of life 4-koma type stuff) is really popular but something with a solid story and a pretty good protagonist gets axed after 10-15 chapters

If it isn't moe or echi then it's rare that it can develop a fanbase in japan. I think the koreans do better romance and non slice of life manga (manhwa).

That's why I tend to read more webtoons now, they're all amateurs and they focus on the story and character development because they don't really have to worry as much about selling magazines (they don't get paid much but they also have a lot more freedom).

They take extended breaks if necessary for their health and I've only heard of one or two webtoons that were actually cancelled. One was because the author was always late with chapters and then took a longass time between each one and just kinda gave up but apparently they were given another chance and are now uploading their chapters again (which is good because I like it)

For example the Tower of God guy took a couple months off to let his wrist feel better and he comes out with a new chapter every week now

I need to catch up on ToG. it's been a couple months since I last read it. That's good that his wrist recovered.

awww look at josiah using a gfy :3

Also, they don't auto-resize, so um, you might want to upload at something like 750px wide or so, that's where I put mine at. I think quality remains and you can actually get some more quality in there if you are converting a GIF to a GFY. If you do video to GFY you're limited to 15 seconds or less atm.

It's too late, I can't sleep now. I just added 6 hours to "living and awake" instead of "living and asleep, and happy slightly meh/okay'ish, and rested acceptable for the morning"

Mine is 1017.993px wide, but I like the look of 750'ish for pictures and images.

I think 750 px wide is the largest that ffxiah allows without needing to stretch the page right Kali? I should shrink them to that if so yeah.

So Are you saying if I make a 20 minute long gif, gifcat will let me compress it? I thought the limit for everything was 15 seconds.
GIF has no time, as they are frames with delays. I guess you could pull a "technically delays are time!" but na! So yea, for ANY file your limit is 300 MB, and if you set the delay between frames 1 sec each, I guess you could make a 33 minute video. I created a 1977 frame GIF (280 MB at 750px wide full color), and it probably is around 1 minute long? maybe 1 min 30 sec.

also, the 1977 frame 280 MB GIF turned into a 10 MB GFY.

So fun <3
