I guess I like her well enough, but she also exemplifies a significant problem in the gaming industry*.. If you're pretty and genuinely into a product, people will bend over backward to accommodate you.
In the case of Dragon Age they put her in the game.
And it's unfair to a point to get mad about it because she's put in a lot of hard work and is talented.
But also, if a guy displayed that level of zeal/self-promotion the same way, they wouldn't get put in the game, they'd get a restraining order from half the devs.
*edit: Let's be honest. It's a problem with all of society. Much like how 50 Shades of Grey is only sexy b/c the main dude is rich. If he were poor it would be reviled as the torture porn it is.

Or how walking boob job Jessica Nigri, who is not an actress/voice actress, was picked to do the voice acting for Sonico in Sonicomi, taking work away from someone who actually made acting their profession.

She's talented, she's certainly something the demographic likes, but there's also -- at least for me -- always this underlying "okay, is she successful because she's talented or is it because she's an absolute perfect marketable fit as the cute nerdy girl?"

true, but there really arent many out there, and while she is famous, doesnt stand out as much... or pursues a being famous just for being famous and money, nor she fakes the geekyness just for the spotlight. seeing her work shows how real her passion for this stuff is for her, and using the baby as an example, she can separate or balance her private life and her public life.

As far as I know she hasn't, and from what I could tell if she is in a relationship he hasn't been public about it in any way.
She does seem to be particularly good at separating her public and private life really well.
Y'know, hiding a pregnancy for either months and all.
I think she said she was a bit of a loner and shy in high school. Her ability to shy away or separate public and private lives is probably a skill she learned early on or is just simply how she is.
I just sorta really wanted it to be Nathan Fillion.
Edit: As to her, I'm not going to pretend there might not be some projection/bias on my part due to a few particular facets. It is what it is regardless, and it's not like she doesn't deserve her success.
