I USED TO PLAY HEALER BACK IN MUDS AND MUSHES! WHEN HEALERS COULD ONLY HEAL! THEREFORE HEALERS SHOULD ONLY HEAL! HEALER'S THAT MELD ACCURACY ARE DUMB, BECAUSE THEY SHOULDN'T HAVE TO DPS!

Seriously though, good luck Ghishlain. The OF are dumb as bricks, and that's probably an insult to bricks.

Of course, there are also healers on the other side of the aisle with the other extreme attitude, though they are rarer. The kind of healers that are like, "Hey, I'm DPSing and Healing, nobody should die." *Someone dies* "Well, you're gonna have to wait 45 seconds, because I just used Swiftcast, and I'm not gonna interrupt my DPS for 7 seconds to get you up for mechanics, so we're gonna wipe, and I'm gonna blame it on you."

Omg, I'm reading these arguments on the OF where Ghishlain went to bat, and man oh man, some people got the brain of a deck chair.

On the other hand, I feel like some of these people are really smarmy. To get in on the fun or to not get on the fun though.

I remember back when HW came out and all the WoW players came back to the game, people where bitching about the dumbest ***on there, like having to log on to the forum to post, or how WHMs should use Clubs and DPS cuz Medica was all that was needed during raids, ECT

Best part was when they would log in to the game and preach Thier BS in shout, and get pissed because people told them they where wrong lol

Surprisingly I haven't been perma'd yet, lol. I have suffered from two temp bans though, both from my own doing (one I even openly admitted that this post will get me bant).

I'm actually genuinely surprised I haven't been perma'd yet considering the BS you hear about the #OF.


Yeah, I know some people are just baiting for responses and I'm trying not to fall for the bait. If anything I'm trying to highlight the importance of "unreasonable expectations" to the healer community since the healer DPS debate is so divisive.

Just on record I am a proponent of optimal play and that usually entails DPSing as a healer. There is indeed a lot of downtime in XIV and gives perfect opportunities to DPS as a healer.

With that being said, kicking a healer for not-DPSing? That's no bueno in my book. I'm hoping me playing devil's advocate will at least make some people either cut down their aggressiveness or change ships.


Well... I am at the "kill 400 birds" trial on my Mjollnir right now, that I'm slowly whittling away at.
