I swear to Christ the new future there won't even be stores or delivery.
Just distribution centers where scalpers pick up the supply and deliver everything for the business. It's the only logical outcome. Why keep paying fedex and UPS when people will pick it up at MSRP AND deliver it for a 10 dollar mark up.
Uber-amazon callabo.
It's actually illegal for producers to sell directly to the public unless they have a brick/mortar store or an approved outlet.
AKA Ford cannot sell their vehicles directly to the public, you have to go to a dealer to get it. Nintendo cannot directly sell hardware to the public, you have to go to the store to buy it there (either online or brick/mortar). Microsoft cannot sell hardware directly to the public (there are few exceptions, but only business-to-business sales), you have to go get those computers directly from other outlets.
So, I wouldn't have to worry about that at all. Unless they repeal that law that is.
