lol I saw someones comment on a pic that said too bad 3D printing wasn't big in XI's prime or they would have made a killing. I then saw this guy on etsy that has over 1k sales and all his stuff is like 300+ dollars.... Insane prices for 3D printed weapons from 14, aren't most of those weapons not even important? lol

I was looking up music in response to Hugs posting a Mario Kart song in the Video Game Music thread when I noticed something for the first time on the box art for Diddy Kong Racing.
That isn't his fur. It's got an obvious sleeve opening. He's wearing like a monkey sweater and his arms are bald.
When using the microwave, you press "1", move your finger all the way over to press "3", and then move your finger all the way over to press "0".
I press "8" twice.
Part of why I adopted my current career is because I really liked finding ways to optimize stuff. Even if it's as simple as punching numbers on a microwave, I can save a second and reduce errors by using multiples of 11, up to 99 seconds. :D
"Upgraded" my TV to LG C1 and I don't need a difference OLED is suppose to be... I swear all these upgrades are people just wanting the newest thing, unless I'm somehow blind and can't see the difference between a 4k TV and this OLED lol. I do notice how the sound is like 100x worse though from my old TV, now I need a sound bar.

I got an LG C1 this year. I had a Samsung KS8000 before. It really depends on what you're displaying. Some things, you might not tell much of a difference but PS5 games and movies, I definitely can. No bloom effect around bright things that are near dark things.
I did adjust several settings too. I keep brightness at 50. You want to ensure blacks are "black" black. When I first plugged in my NT Mini, it was too bright and blacks were grey but adjusting to 50 made it the way it should be.

Little life hack for ya. I dunno.
I mean you could just press "9 then 0" and it's actually the right time, just because you're lazy doesn't make you right. /pedantic
I CANT even *** log in anymore, the game says i dont have access to endwalker like wtf i finished everything and extreme trials, i *** hate expansion release because of the square enix *** store

What setting should I do? I have it on Vivid, but I notice sometimes this weird pixelated effect on older movies and random stuff, its just kind of a let down atm. Then having to buy a soundbar, my old TV had a built in "Ultra Surround 2 Ch 20W"
I dont want any subwoofer, just need a soundbar now and idk which to pick since they all have mixed reviews at the 100 price point.

I thought the only difference OLED made was that individual pixels can turn off, making pitch blackness more dark and theoretically saving on energy.

Yeah, but you still have to move your finger between the "9" and the "0", so it takes an extra tenth of a second, plus it adds a greater margin for error. But then again, I'm probably in the bottom few percentile for hand-eye coordination.
If I were a D&D character, my DEX score would be like 6.

I use standard. Vivid will put your brightness at max by default. Getting used to an OLED screen is a strange change. When you get it set right, it will seem darker than you're used to but I was too. My last TV, I had brightness at max but the contrast levels are amazing. OLED also look best in darker rooms. Doesn't have to be pitch black but I don't have my lights on.
I didn't think the sound was so bad but I guess I don't have a lot of basis for comparison for TV speakers. I didn't think it was too bad but maybe if I get a soundbar, I'll be surprised.

OLED also has nearly instant response time. Many decent gaming TVs have a 2-3ms response while OLED are like .2ms so you get no ghosting at all. You're right about the other stuff.
Yeah the sound is really horrid. I'm not an audiophile or anything but my last TV you can really tell the difference and I'm sure any soundbar is better than both. I was playing Tales of Arise to test new TV and the sound difference was so noticeable.

You get a code via e-mail for the official release which is different from the code you got for early access, so that may be your issue. Just something to look into perhaps.
Ya'll grinches really not going to put up a holiday avatar?
I keep getting Gateway timeout errors.
Actual random thought I just had: If the teenage mutant ninja turtles just turned teenagers (13) when they were created in 1983... then they would be 51 years old today. Had to look up when they were created and do the math there. That's if they were the youngest possible teenagers when created as 13 VS 19 year old teens. Cowaboomer™!
This is a thread that I found on another website I post at. It can be really really interesting. I thought it deserved a place here.
Post your random thoughts for the day here, or anything else that intrigues you.
For starters, is it possible to give constructive critism to someone who doesn't have a neck? I totally just walked by a girl who didn't. Someone isn't getting a necklace for Valentines day!
And who decided black and white can't be colors? I want to say a racist. I really do.
