Aaaand just like that, my Fire Emblem campaign comes to an end. Maddening beaten on NG+. After early game I weirdly started steamrolling through it. First map of part 2 made me worried a bit, I pulled through because Byleth dodged multiple 30% attacks. But all is well that ends well, I guess.

I'll have to say, I sure had an itch for Fire Emblem and scratched it until it bled. I still want to go through Silver Snow path too.. It's a fun game.

Let's not pretend like Sony hasn't been making anti competetive moves since the PS2. They've been the kings of exclusivity and basically soft purchasing franchises forever. Microsoft has tried to promote cross platform play and licensing and Sony won't play ball. They're not a victim here, they're getting a taste of their own medicine.

Everything every company does is anticompetetive.

That's like the only goal beat the competition, by any means necessary. (literally)

New companies start up with the intention of being bought specifically cause they don't want to compete.

You know, there is so much going on in a fighting game: cancelling, conditioning, punishment….

Everytime i see folks theoryzing fights, makes me impressed how much dudes get prepared for a high lv match.

Im ok having to work with like minimal time interval of few frames to prove whos the boss, but fitting a massive combo in that short span of frames, it seems like something completely out of my reality currently

Once the FTC decided to take action, the acquisition died.

Decided to put Siren w/the other story avatars. Her ear wings so big! Happy w/it for now, but maybe eventually redo Bahamut and Diabolos since they were the first ones and made to stand by themselves w/o support.

I think they all came out practically perfect, Siren needed some coloring on the tips of the wings to be more green but I think they did a great job.

Sega Saturn, Dreamcast, N64 are all pretty much killed by PS1. Then Sony dominated the console market until Nintendo switch: which is the real market dominator now.

And people complain about Microsoft???? Sounds like MS bias to me.


Oh ho ho quick, why don't we all start a game company and sell it to Microsoft and get rich quick!

Don't worry, nobody is buying every single company making games. It's not worth the investment given how easy it is for anybody to start a game company today.

It's also not easy to convince a game company do console exclusive because of insane amount of PC users available. You are missing a big chunk of buyers without the PC market.


Different situation...

Windows is a "platform". Once a platform gained majority of userbase it's hard for anyone else to compete: if you release a new OS in the market nobody will use it if their software can't run on it.

Game is a totally different situation. Literally anybody can start a game company and enter this market by releasing a game. So the situation that one company own all the game company literally wouldn't exist. It's much, much, much harder to dominate the entire game market compare with the OS market.

I actually forgot to log in to this before it poofed. Two months ago, it's sad when online games end and I spent so many hours in this one and also money, I'd be curious how much I spent overall. I see a lot of people angry too, apparently the jp servers stayed online

Wasn't balrog and m bison supposed to be named the other? But you can't call character Mike Bison? Correct me if I'm wrong.

Do you remember if you had a VIP tier? If no VIP tier, then probably not as much as you think you did. Though I know the VIP metric is based on total spending within a specific time frame, but I can't give the exact window of opportunity.

I actually knew two people who were the lowest tier of VIP and they were surprised they got admitted to it.

I don't think it was ever confirmed but the most common fan theory is that they didn't want to have any issues since Balrog's original name (M.Bison) and appearance were similar to Mike Tyson, so Capcom just shuffled the names of three of the four final boss characters in Street Fighter 2. Those names have permanently stuck for the rest of the IP's lifetime and makes for some interesting "WTF" moments when you're watching a Street Fighter anime with the original JP dub but the subtitles change the name on you, lol.
