i hate how purposely frustrating in person shopping is

They often reorganize so you are forced to look at different stuff while shopping for the stuff you actually want.
Just ask any staffer where the Qtips went to, they are happy to help. Or at least pretend to be. The best ones will shout REALLY LOUD asking the manager where the darn things were moved to.

Most stores around here don't have enough staff around to ask questions. Those on the floor intentionally duck away if they see someone approaching. Or they just straight-up don't know because it's not their department.
We were looking for ladyfingers one time. Couldn't find them at Safeway, Wal-Mart, or Superstore. And even when we did ask, no one even knew what they were, even when we described them. Eventually we found them beside the soya sauce in the Asian section. Ladyfingers are Italian cookies...
"Oh yeah, Darla didn't get you in the system yet still, so I'll call her rq to verify whether you can work or not today."
I worked four different government jobs, and all four of them were like that. They wouldn't have my work ready until at least a week or two after starting, so they'd just have me do random crap while waiting. "IT hasn't set you up yet and they're backlogged, so go pack up this guy's office into boxes because he's retiring"
EDIT: I actually wouldn't doubt if they were just pulling my leg because they wanted to get the temp to do all the dirty work. But then the joke was on them because I was brutally efficient with my time, so our provincial tax dollars went to paying me to play War of the Lions on PSP.

Man, I didn't truly "get" Office Space until I got a government job.

I remember when once lady asked me where something is. I answered that I had not the slightest idea. She got angry, complained a little, and then disappeared. A few minutes later she grabbed me and brought me to the stall showing me where that thing was.
Her: You see, here it is. Remember that!
Me: Aha.
Her: Do you even work here?!
Me: No.
There's a surprising amount of recorded Ballista content on YouTube. I think Asura does weekly(ish) bouts for fun, including both Japanese and English-speaking players, and I've seen other servers do it as well.
Ballista is a lot of fun. I like how it's not just about killing one another and feels like a proper sport. It seems like there's a ton of strategy that even I didn't know about, though.
Of course, these days my "PvP anxiety" (or so I call it) would see to it that I never play it again, but I did have fun the one time I did it.

Funny after many years i go to baka updates to check the status of some manga series i used to read back in 2000s, to see if some of them finally reach a conclusion.
Sakura Tsuuchin, dropped at 15/20 vols translated in 3 years.
Pastel dropped at 34/44 vols translated.
Those who hunt elves at 13/20
Vagabond, HunterxHunter still no clue when it will end.
This is a thread that I found on another website I post at. It can be really really interesting. I thought it deserved a place here.
Post your random thoughts for the day here, or anything else that intrigues you.
For starters, is it possible to give constructive critism to someone who doesn't have a neck? I totally just walked by a girl who didn't. Someone isn't getting a necklace for Valentines day!
And who decided black and white can't be colors? I want to say a racist. I really do.
