I remember the first time the BF and I ran off to Valk to be PLed by a buddy from HS. He had class, we didn't have a map, and once we were done with the EXP party both of us panicked. Those were the days where you seriously had to have your back up against a wall to consider losing experience over a blood warp. Ahhh...2004/5, it seems so long ago.

Our buddy escorted us, but you know...CLASS! That put a damper on things. :/
That was also when I learned that you're suppose to save...Benediction? (The WHM two hour where everyone is healed? Errrmmm...You know that one.)...for when your party was actually in deep doo-doo. Then there was a lot of LOLElvaanWHM, and my BF got pissed, and started ripping new buttholes via keyboard. Then, he dropped the "she-bomb", and people became surprisingly a little too nice to me later. Annoying.
Lmfao, "she-bomb". As to the two hour, I cherished mine like it was gold. "Dude, just use chainspell, or we're all going to die!" "But... I might need it later."
But yeah, it's funny how we had to rely on those experienced people to help play the game. I remember my first time in Valk. First off, my buddy told me ahead of time to get the supplies for the outpost. Then, he'd tell us to just wait, attacked one lizard, then ran around linking them all. For some reason, that was fun as hell to me. But yeah, Valk was a bit intimidating when you first got to it.

We be talkin bout FFXI. The dominate race is obviously Elvaan. If we go FFXIV we have to change it up a bit because of all the name changes. :x Stop trying to merge the two, idc how similar they are. :P
