A brd can be a very good dd if they put effort in gear, etc.

Leviathan.Catnipthief said: Cerberus.Kalyna said: Ina, the thing is, with book burns and abyssea exp burns, people just flat out not try to learn the jobs. I mean in the hours they're there, instead of using their brains and, let's talk about the BRD for a sec, buffing and pulling and sleeping, they just stand there, and, well, fight the mobs with the shitty melee damage they do.
I've been seeing mages meleeing lately too. It saddens me!
but being a thf, they make perfect SATA targets to teach them to *** off the mobs and start *** healing and doing thier jobs.
Don't get me wrong, burning a job is good and saves you alot of time, but if you don't learn the job beforehand or at least try to after before you toss it in a situation where it is needed then you would just be better off not on that job.
I burned a few of my jobs up and a good portion of of during it I was researching the job lol.
said it before say it again! :3 The people who leech and end up sucking at their jobs wouldn't be any better if they lvled the normal way.

Aye, CNT. I do that too, even with THF I did some researching (mainly on what WS works with SATA lol and some armor/weapon suggestions, being a 80DNC on my main, I somewhat figured what type of armor/weapons to use, ignoring the fact that guns > boomerang for thf but i feel more comfortable with throwing seeing as you don't need ammo =D more money for me =D)
I only burned subjobs that I know I won't ever play on again (NIN being one of the only job i don't know how to play and I don't ever want to play on it ever again) the other jobs i burned i knew how to play already (lol WHM, RDM, DNC, WAR, BLM)

I'd say if a brd isn't DDing (assumeing exp party) that they are a waste of a spot at this point, even with an average set for DD they should be putting out a respectable ammount of damage and with marches + haste will be pumping out the eviserations pritty fast (crit WS and we know how that goes). There is no reason your mages should need the brd ballading them. Also if your group isnt spreading out on the mobs instead of just /assist 1 player you are wasting alot of damage due to WS going off at less hp then the damage they did or just players sitting on 300tp to avoid a ruby light so lullaby should not be necissary. It may be a bit more chaotic but if you have your DDs spreading out on 3-5 mobs at a time your exp is gunna be 2-3 times faster.
On NMs it's a different story but sleepga 2 should be happening in that case and lullaby only as a temp solution on the rare cases you are dealing with multiple mobs on NMs...
Not sure this is the thread for this discussion though XD

Raiders would beat out any gun for the dual weild bonus no? Can't see any time you would use gun unless you were fighting a worm or something at a range XD

Raider's is the TP option (Attack faster and can still pull.) Ungur for Evasion. Only time you'd need a Crossbow is for soloing (i.e bloody bolts/sleep belts, etc.)

i swear to god for some reason the absolute worst, least knowledgeable players on xi tend to be the ones who are most concerned about aby burning, smn burning etc

Rng theres really not much to learn beyond basic enmity control, perticularly if you play with windower and have it telling you your distance from the mob. If your like me and on console or just don't use windower then it might take you a bit to get used to finding the poroper distance but since it gives you hints now about your distance it's kinda moot. If i were to level rng again I would totally burn the ***out of it... would have saved me sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much gil.
Blu I personally wouldn't burn either just because 80% of the fun with that job seems like it would be hunting the spells as they came available.

I think in the long run BLU was the worst job I did burn up, to be honest probably was a mistake on most of the jobs I did burn up but that's the past now and nothing I can really do about it now ... not like it matters anymore anyway.

I'm sure that was quoted at me yes?
I'm not really "concerned" with burning any job since I know ALOT of good players that did this and are still amazing at their jobs, it's more of the concern of people that will not take the time to learn a job after they burn it... it's not hard, takes like an hour at most to get the basics down really.

I think i want Cake!! I've only had one pick-up abyssea party on blu, which I was in because I wanted blm and rdm feet, not because I wanted exp. It was so bad, they were doing exactly this, /assisting one player only. I broke away and started soloing while still in the alliance. I got yelled at a few times for it, but they kinda shut up when I was soloing the mobs at the same speed that the entire alliance was killing them -_-

Is it normal that ads have disappeared from the site? Not sure if it's an issue or not.

Hey Krizz, why do you delete threads about botting where no rules are being broken, but let threads about abortion with rampant flaming occur go untouched?
Like srsly?

This is a thread that I found on another website I post at. It can be really really interesting. I thought it deserved a place here.
Post your random thoughts for the day here, or anything else that intrigues you.
For starters, is it possible to give constructive critism to someone who doesn't have a neck? I totally just walked by a girl who didn't. Someone isn't getting a necklace for Valentines day!
And who decided black and white can't be colors? I want to say a racist. I really do.
