gah trying to recover texts from a phone, shouldn't be this hard >.>
I have lost so many good ones, it makes me sad. ; ;
Morning folks! Kali, when you see this, /glomp
wow the only post in 3 hours...
It looks like I'm in luck because it uses a SIM card, unfortunately the only sim card reader I have isn't working.
So I'm ordering one right now, I'll have to wait a few days.
Hopefully that one works better. I'll also be able to research some recovery software better in that time, instead of relying on quick google searches and cnet, I've almost installed some nasty ***in my impatience...
I used ATT last time when I bought MY last phone, they transferred texts over. Well they attempted. It was like 2 hours of trying 9k texts. >_> Got 6k out of it. I passed the time buying phones for parentals, and then went across the street to eat a gyro.

heh, and yeah transferring texts is rather easy, but recovering them is another story.
actually if the phone was saving texts to the SIM then all you should have had to do was swap the sim cards, but the newer phone may use the smaller sim style.

Hmmm I will look at sim card size. If I "save" or "secure" texts, does that mean they stay on the sim card? I did get a new card cause I went from 3G to 4G LTE (before apple did it and and got a BJ for going to 4G LTE)

ah that may have been it, I believe 3g and 4g cards are different somehow...
not too sure, I haven't looked at the differences myself.
Does anyone else videocard go batshit crazy next to a telepoint or flux? I'm not sure when this started happening, I think 2 months ago? Maybe longer.. but whenever I'm next to a flux or teleport crystal my card goes into overdrive. it's usage spikes to 90+% and the temp spikes to 100c. (My fan is set to custom levels to adjust with heat) and my framerate drops to 10ish. It's the same whether I'm 2boxing or playing solo. Card is GTX590, SLI enabled, 2 monitors. (happens whether I'm using 1 or all 3 monitors.)
Ugh, that's really bad though.. my card is supposed to shut off at 102c because that's the critical temp. I left my second account at the teleport point for a minute and I looked over at my other screen and I was at 100c.

I play normally around 60c in this weather..
you don't even want to know what temps my laptop gets to...
it's bad but I believe some people found some ways around it, smooth or not.
I don't have an Nvidia card right now, only reason I haven't really looked into it.
I can play any game on the highest settings with 3 monitors enabled, yet a floating rock will cause my card to literally melt. The coding that went into the fluxes must be horrendous. I never had a problem with teleport crystals doing the same until a couple months ago.

Leo was kind enough to talk about the details once, but it has to do with the newer cards not handling the older directx properly, and XI of course is a PS2 game in a directx wrapper, or some ***.
have you tried manually installing directx 9.0c to see if that helps any? (I have no idea if it would).
This is a thread that I found on another website I post at. It can be really really interesting. I thought it deserved a place here.
Post your random thoughts for the day here, or anything else that intrigues you.
For starters, is it possible to give constructive critism to someone who doesn't have a neck? I totally just walked by a girl who didn't. Someone isn't getting a necklace for Valentines day!
And who decided black and white can't be colors? I want to say a racist. I really do.
