Resolution is not a critical hit /ws... So no, crit hit rate does not effect it at all.

as far as GS bought from ah which would be better for all around use: Gram, or Jingang?

edite
all around use w/o suffering much of a difference on ws

I'd go with Jingang for the looks ;o

Aside from that, the delay and +5% Crit rate are a nice bonus if you want to work on a X-Hit build and want to improve your DoT instead of just focusing on WS. Base damage is low compared to Gram though, so Jingang FTLooks.

It's quested, and the quest is easy enough to justify the time put into it

A perfectly geared mnk and war will still have no problem outparsing drk based on the last few that I have done, but it is pretty clear that drk is the next best thing if played correctly (I consider myself pretty well geared, and I have outparded emp mnk and war too. However, the good emp mnk and war are miles ahead of your normal emp mnk and war). Rikura's mnk and war are just way too powerful....

Once mnk and war get their nerf, the gap will be closer. This is mostly on T6 VW, so it is very obvious that the critical hit WS got a huge advantage over the none-crit WS on those.

If you're getting outparsed by mnks as drk you're doing it wrong.
I would rather say war-sam > war-sam > drk > mnk

This is the set I use for resolution. Ragnarok will definitely win due to dot. I don't worry about a hit build because I use discipline and coercion and usually a cor using misers roll which gives me 50+ tp return from resolution

DA - 5% and no Brutal? Hmmm.

To each of their own tbh. I usually have absolutely no problem outparsing SAM, even on my Drg. Mnk it really depends, I outparse them regularly as Drk, but like I said, Rikura is a different story.

I guess I have not seen a real SAM, and you have not seen a real MNK and let's just put it that way.

For this set, on higher level mobs (thinking VW etc like Ig-Alima etc) would you recommend Grim Cuirass/+1 or Ace's Mail for Resolution? Also, any other improvements?

I know people like Heafoc for hands, but avant +1 has like 27 more acc than those so that's iffy for me.

For top tier like Ig, Ace's and Avant+ for sure. Most DDs are parsing 60-75% acc on him.

This. DRKs it's time to take the *** Calmecac off, it looks like ***, and you dont need Ace's feet to 7 hit a Cala.

TP

WS - Same for Resolution and Torcleaver minus the soil belt/neck, because stacking a 60% lol VIT mod and then multiplying it by 0.85 level correction = not even worth it to me.

I like how ppl try to justify gimping by trying to make it look insignificant.

Obvious things for Torc.

You do realize that what you just said makes no sense, right?

EDIT: You either ninja edited, or I misread the first time. But yeah, the suggestions are quite valid.

Those items will add 27 vit * 0.6 *0.85 = 14 WSC, in exchange for less acc, and less str. Assuming capped attack, 14 * 4.75 * 2.25 = 150~ damage. It's not insignificant, in fact after doing the math I think I am going to add a bit of vit.

This is what I honestly want to shoot for.

I'm thinking as a TP set. Is -14 Subtleblow a huge issue with a OaT Gsword? I could probably swap to an Ogier's Surcoat ideally.

Blitzers might be Haste+3/DA+2 or Haste+3/Acc+7
It honestly doesn't look bad on the eyes either. For some reason the fuglyness of Ace's Mail/Blitzers matches.

Ahh would WS sets posted here be ideal for a Taru DRK too? or as a Taru you need to pile even more STR/attack per slot including the weapon..

They should be ideal, Race isn't a huge factor on stats really. Being able to merit 12 STR pushes you past what you would normally be anyways.
So keep on rocking that Taru DD and don't let anyone tell you otherwise.
