You didn't add gorget/belt. WSing at exactly 100% nets a 13.6% boost but obviously there will be occasional overflow.

ya gorget and belt add .2.. also wsing in VW you always use dusty wings. which gives you 300tp. wsing in a tp bonus at 300 tp negates its bonus.

thats why atleast in VW tpbonus falls behind even more

why wouldnt it? as a matter of fact i believe it to add .1 to all hits. instead of just the first hit like normal WS. honestly use gorget/belt and watch your numbers sky rocket. it gives 10-15% (somewhere in there) to ws dmg for each piece

Edit: i know i can find the info around here somewhere

I'd check BG honestly, thats where the initial testing came from.

I just got sea access, and my rajas ring, and spend like 8hours farming organs for gorget, going to go get belt soon probably

I was wondering this exact thing not too long ago. Looking at the Resolution build thread, I saw almost no one even mentioning the 2-4.

Starting to get relieved I decided to do OaT. The humongous difference in base damage was just about enough to set my mind in that direction.

Appreciate everyone who replied to this. And not just because most of it it was what I wanted to hear..

Funny thing is, I might have tossed that belt, because On drk I always used scythe, then Resolution came out............

lol. btw i think soil is best. works on both entrophy and resolution. so two birds.

That's what I did. I popped a brew and whooped Indriks *** for Light Belt. Then i ran to Empousa quick and whooped his *** for Breeze Belt.

2 belts. 1 Brew. Rated A; for awesome.

Ah I use B Zag for any proccing and stuff. OaT Gsword for damage :S

I just wanted to clear up that your melee DPS is not irrelevant just because you can WS much faster in VW. You still do a large portion of your damage in the TP phase. People seem to think it is pointless to care about anything but WS in VW, this is not the case.

I have hundreds of parses with all kinds of buffs brd/cor multibrd/cor multi cor etc.

Even with misers during perfect fights (where the mob is procced/you have fanatics up for the whole fight, and the fight lasts no longer than 3 minutes)

It varies slightly with jobs but WAR DRK SAM DRG MNK w/e Melee damage still accounts for AT LEAST 25% of your total damage. There are very few exceptions to this. SAM with shoha now are probably the lowest Melee/WS dmg ratio but still~

DPS on OaT is pretty solid, not only do you swing more but WS Frequency gets boosted as well. I know you are saying people act like only weapon skill matter but a boost to WS frequency is part of it. The DoT itself is pretty nice, also with Endark up it's pretty beastly. I loved my Calad but I seen it as a DoT weapon more then anything. I just wanted a different kind of WS/DoT Split really. I'm not sure if I'll be taking it to 90 or not.

But yes I am well aware my DPS still matters. Just the tp gain is something wonderful. The damage is pretty good for an OaT weapon as well. Also when we finally get more info on Neo Nyzul Askar+5 will easily land a 5 hit build with capped haste (Without that crappy tactical mantle).

Even with OaT Gsword at least 20-30% of my total damage is DoT. On one of my better parses as well. Depends if amnesiad or not though

Roughly though OaT Gsword gave me nearly a 25% DoT, 75% Weaponskill Split. I ended up coming ahead of an Ukon WAR and Vere MNK by a good %. But one Ukon WAR I could not beat no matter how hard I tried. This dude is beast. I don't know if it's okay to show names and such.

Yeah same deal with 2-4 Scythe. You can call out VW procs like a machine.

It's what Im doing atm as well returner. my gear set is in my profile though I just got Ryuga Sune-ate to replace homams.

My build for fodder mobs is Bale Body+2 and Bomb Core, Ace's pants and ryuga feet(Dont need STP from Ace's leggings)

I can't decide on the grip.
-I don't have Rose Strap,
-I can't make sword strap work unless I add more Store TP.
-Pole Grip could proc on resolution .
-I'm assuming a Danger Grip would be idiotic.
-I'm not sure if claymore is worth it.

Looking at my DoT to WS Split it might favor Pole.
