You need 3 to enter. Doing solo for the challenge would be the only reason not to use others. Either way the answer is yes they can.

I am not very mathy :<

Does anyone know how to calculate how many hits it will take to get to 1kTP on a master DNC with 206 sTP + 28 DA + 4 TA + 2 QA?

Setan Kober main hands and twashtar offhand?

Please and thank you!

Edit: stp is 206. Messed up adding it all Q_Q

Idk what path your setan is but:

TP Per second - 352.5683375
Hits till 1000 TP- 6.535947712
Average Rounds till 1000 TP - 2.331229781

Is what I came up. You can verify my calculator by whacking a mob with that build. Calc says you should be getting 153 TP a swing

Thank you so much!

SCH/RDM/BLM add pets if you're bad at kiting to buy time. It's pretty brainless

The setup can be done with 3 BLMs, 2BLM/1RDM, the strat is basically AM>Sleep>AM>Sleep>Gravity>Free Nuke shouldn't be more than 2 spells after that.

How does Geo-Frailty work with something like Dia's -def%?

Should I be summing up each source of -def%, and it has a cap?

Or is each one multipled seperately?

IE if I have lets say -20.31% from a Dia effect, and then -61.7% from Geo Frailty.

Is that a total of -81.7% def down
20.31% + 61.7%

Or is it a total of 69.5%?

1-((1 - 20.31%) * (1-61.7%))

Im presuming its the second? But I also wouldn't be surprised if it was the first (like Gear/Ma/Ja haste works) and it has a cap of like 87.5% or something?

I'm moderately certain that all def-% effects are added together then applied. But I can't really quote a good source for that. Just something I seem to recall from somewhere.

Testing Geomancy def- would probably involve ballista or brenner. Or those abyssea mobs that spit all their debuffs back on you.. but the geo effect would wear right away.

And I got curious so I'm in ballista right now testing. lol

Tested on PLD in ballista. Geo has 900 skill+Idris
Base DEF 1411
W/ frailty 815

Add dia 2 to that.
Def 600

That'd be a 57.47% reduction.
Non JA frailty 42.2%
Dia II 15.23%
42.2+15.23=57.43

Close enough for me. Seems pretty clearly additive.

Think it just has a 87.5% cap then like other similar effects?

Hmmm. Personally, I don't see any reason to assume a cap like that. Every other 87.5% cap that I can think of was a damage taken reduction effect of some sort. I feel like def- is not quite in the same category.

But in any case I suppose it would take another test.

Bolster'd frailty alone would put you at 84.4. Then Dia II for 99.63. Wouldn't be hard to test it looks like.

Not sure I want to run back to ballista right now though.

Whats the deal with all the bots running around just killing trash in Ceizak (on Asura)?

They are all Dragoons just rocking shitty Bayld gear with alphabet soup names.

I didn't see any rhyme or reason to what they were killing, they were just wacking away at random low level stuff.

Looked like a solid 8~10 of them too, the ***?

They're just doing the 500+ dmg ROE objective and maybe some zone-specific ones for sparks/unity

Spark bot army doing 500s, yup. Dragoons are the optimal job for it.

(as defined by; easiest to meet absolutely minimum requirements)

It's really not in the same category given how pdif calcs already make increasing amounts less useful and such.

Plus Aegis Schism exists and bg wiki says 90% but every time it's hit me it's put me to 1 def. Either way definitely above 87.5%

They don't use trusts because 18 drgs in alliance build sparks faster than 18 individual drgs.

Crystals/kills x18

Wyvern heals is the important part indeed. along with wyvern bonuses etc.

.......if only you could call trust in alliances... would be so efficient.

They do that here too, just in the more hidden spots. The ones in the obvious places are drg.

Don't really know what's more optimal. the bsts likely kill mobs faster but get very few 500 damages.

In light of the potpourri update, which furniture gives the strongest EXP bonus? Is it the 10% from Vana Clock? It's minor... but over the course of 300,000 merits 1-2% will add up.

Discounting the jp only item that gives 15% https://www.bg-wiki.com/bg/Moss_Gr._Grisaille https://www.bg-wiki.com/bg/Murrey_Grisaille

BG says you can trade Abquhbah a new vigil weapon and he'll tell you which one he has currently.

Unrelated to that question, what's a fair asking price for Fu's drops? I'm thinking 5m for neck and 15m for ring? I know he's easy but they are/appear to be BIS for quite a few things. Also, is it possible to invite someone in a different omen instance to the party? It'd be nice to not make people waste their KI if he doesn't drop what they want. Hoping to make an extra buck during my hunt for that body
