Just came back from a 2-3 year break, friends and I are working through abyssea. You have the two top starting katana's as Kamamoe and Ban. Is that including Enju?

I was told Enju is fairly new, wondering if it is a better main hand and it just wasn't out when you made this or if Kamamoe and Ban are in fact better? Thanks for the great guide also!

Glancing at it I'd say it's better.

If I just came back to the game, I'd personally go with Enju/Kamome (You can Enju/Ban if you're extra lazy), get the important pieces of armor and work on getting a Kannakiri from Skirmish- that'll probably help your damage a lot.

Apologizing for not being able to update much since I've been a bit busy- was planning on updating it when the next patch hit.

No worries! Thanks alot for the speedy reply. :)

What I was thinking as well, just wanted to make sure. When I came back all my major money items combined for a whoppin 100k nowadays. Trying to be stingy!

Thanks again!

Curious if anyone look into which Kiji path would be benefit most? I know NIN has no place in Delve but might get lucky sometime. I skim thru and Kincard stated Path B would be nice if ACC is needed but with the new 1-Handed update coming soon, would Path A be best choice?

I think it always comes down to str/attack. A..path will always help weapon skill damage and in new content you should have enough buffs where acc should be less an I issue.

I made dex daggers back at 75 I used them for a while then I made 2 str daggers and I tossed the dex ones.

Nothing really has changed much so go attack.

Hopefully with the update, NIN and other 1-Hand weapon jobs can at least keep up in the new content.

Hey there, could I get some feedback on my Dynamis sets please?

ItemSet 305260

ItemSet 305261

All of the Delve / plasm items are upgraded to rank 6 (10atk 6acc 1str), the Kannagi is level 99, and the Moonshade is +TP and attack. I'll always have Haste from my mule and use Bison Steak as my food.

I don't have any NNI or Salavge 99 gear but I can buy any Bayld, Delve, AF2+2, or AH gear and I might try Meeble Burrows with a friend.

Here's what else I have available:

Weapons: Halachuinic Sword (rank 6), Arisui (STR path), Kamome
Head: Thurandaut Chapeau
Neck: Justiciar's Torque, Hope Torque, Light Gorget, Dark Gorget, Iga Erimaki
Ears: Bladeborn & Steelflash earrings, Light Earring (+1 crit rate), Suppa
Body: Loki's Kaftan, Ninja Chainmail +1, Toci's Harness
Hands: Iga Tekko +2, Mustela Gloves, Athos's Gloves, Seiryu's Kote (+2 crit rate)
Rings: Thundersoul Ring
Back: Iga Dochugappa
Waist: Caudata Belt, Anguinus Belt, most of the elemental belts
Legs: Xux Trousers, Byakko's Haidate (no augments), Koga Hakama +2, Athos's Tights
Feet: Athos's Boots

Thanks in advance for your help!

On fodder, you should be able to use Ninja Chainmail +1. I'd also grab the Thurandaut Tabard and Thurandaut Tights for Hi if you haven't already.

Has anyone tested the Utsusemi change in the latest update at all? I haven't had much opportunity, but I just went and popped Volatile Matamata on a lark to see how many attacks his shadows wiped with combat skill weapons equipped (kiji and aphotic kukri). I was losing 2-3 on every hit, which I'd have to guess is normal (though I don't have any experience prior to gauge it by).

So, Kiji x2 is best now if dont want to toss a lot of gil in it?
Seems Kannakiri+1(+10DMG)/Kiji R0 barely beats 2x Kiji R0

Yep, 2x Kiji seems to be the best, outside of getting lucky with augments on Kannakiri +1 (or Pamun, of course). The DMG on Kannakiri seems to cap out around +12 from what I've seen, and you can also get Double Attack on it, but that'd be a ton of +2 stones. So Kiji should be perfectly workable (and you don't have the luck aspect to deal with if you decide to upgrade them either).

Question, I'm gonna build 2x Kiji's, curious what you think I should do:

2x STR/ATT Path
2x EVA path
1x STR, 1x EVA

Thoughts?

Personally I'd do 2x STR. There's so much evasion on gear these days you shouldn't also need it on your weapon, since NIN's not called on to tank anything remotely threatening anymore.

Thanks for the input! Yea I've been lazy and full-timing the Otronif gear for the def + eva and don't really see a dire need for more evasion. Its funny how the skirmish gear makes thf/nin/dnc pretty untouchable in abyssea...esp with some luck on the augs :)

Manibozho had a similar effect once they added all the extra stats to it, to be honest. Ditto for Dynamis.

Another noob-Ninja question:

For a TP-build, which delve earrings would be best?

Bladeborn/Steelflash
Heartseeker/Dudgeon

Thanks!

Depends on buffs. If you need the accuracy, use the DW set, most other situations, Suppanomimi/Brutal Earring combo is best.

I had forgotten about my Suppa/Brutal, I guess that would be a better combo of DW + DA...thanks

Thaumas body, Koga +2 legs, Nusku's Sash would be second best assuming you're asking about the TP set.

Sylph.Nikia said: »
Patentia Sash is from neo-limbus, i cant recall do i need to complete whole zone to get or just certain part?

You just need to open the chest that drops from the Taurus boss, Bata.

Substitutions for what? You mean like 3rd-5th best for body/legs/waist or something? Already listed 2nd best in the quoted post.
