I've heard a few people advancing the theory that specific pokemon are more likely to appear around you once you've already caught them (or the previous evolutionary stage) before.

Anecdotally, I found two wild Ponyta in areas that I'd thoroughly explored dozens of times in the past without ever seeing one--this happened a day after I hatched 4 of them in a row. Similarly, I hatched my first Vulpix (88~93% perfect ^^y) last night and had one appear right on top of me this morning after I'd been sitting in the same spot for about 45 minutes. No lures or incense involved. I hadn't seen either of them anywhere before.

Obviously this proves nothing, but the implications are interesting if it does turn out to be a thing! It'd be pretty cool to increase the chances of rare pokemon appearing for everyone nearby. :D It would also kinda make sense as a means to get candy for powering up or evolving things that mostly come from eggs. I guess even if there is a trend, it could also be level-related though. idk lol

Thanks Proth. Bought the app, its great. Won't ever need to remote into my pc or switch to a webpage; can have both open at the same time.

Oh, and I can also filter pokemon, so no need to see pidgey/rattata everywhere!!

I have one, but I believe to access the page, you still need one of their codes. Just for those who dont have it.

Posted about Sylph Road website over a week ago on page 22.

Edit: You don't need a code if you go directly to the research page. If you go back through the homepage, however, it makes you use your reddit login to access.

Also, rattata, *** this guy man.

I was at the beach today walking on a pier. Figured I'd pop a lure in between pokestops and sightseeing. Look what popped in the middle of the ocean....no, not a blastoise

I think the more impressive thing is your ability to walk on water...

Ultra ball x2. 2razz berries. Curve ball "great throw". Vs 270 psyduck (needed for evolution). Overkill right? Nope, Houdini wins again. Breaks free and runs away.

If I would have used a pokeball, would have caught it 1/1

So... updating/ed some more things..

Quote:
Updates shown:

Trainer customization even after creating a character
No footprints on the nearby list
New "dangerous areas" dialog box
New icons for achievements
New options on Pokémon info screen. Faster transferring?

They got rid of footprints yet don't want us using Radars..??

No footprints on the nearby list Putting actual meters (rounded) in?
New options on Pokémon info screen. Faster transferring? Here's hoping...

My main issue with transferring is that the map lags and then pops up when I try to hit transfer. If they just swapped the placement of the caught at map and transfer button, I'd be happy.

I've a question when using PokeAssistnat's IV Calculator.

I have an Oddish that I caught today and when I input the numbers in, it says there's no combinations found. What does that mean?

If anyone is curious....

Oddish

CP = 586
HP = 55
Stardust needed to power up = 2500
Powered up? = No

And if these mean anything....Height 0.53m and Weight is 6.47kg

Damn this is a pudgy little onion!

***Ninja Edit***

Disregard, I discovered SilphRoad. Turns out this Oddish isn't that great.

I've only seen white boxes but I never paid enough attention to see if they ever loaded up.

If its saying something has no combinations, it just means something is mistyped, or you powered him up and have to switch it to "yes" :p I done it many times, also :p

Silph road is great also, but I like Pokeassistant

What sucks is the ninja updates took out the pathways and whatnot that were originally found in my area. Like the bike and walk ways around parks.

So..... Basically I have no reason to update my game?

Also, Proth, Have you noticed PokePro sometimes does not produce any pokemon until after several searches? It also seems to find pokemon that I can't even see in the game. Today, PokePro found a Jynx, Drowzee, and Abra. I ended up catching all three, but before approaching them, I waited a few seconds and checked my radar and the pokemon were not there.
