If I have 20 copies of a pokemon, how do I decide which one to use?

Just moveset/weight? or does CP matter? Do they all have the same max CP or do some have higher maxes than others?

Hmm I can't find it's IV score. All I can see are HP, type, weight, height, and movesets

Oak explains that they are hidden and you can find out by using that formula (or a calculator online)

oh, lol I'm seeing that as CP = that stuff.

CP = IV then?

Edit: and I can't see attack/defense anyways, so I have nothing to plug into the formula to begin with @_@

Yeah, but Oak can't tell a boy from a girl.

...I've been telling him I'm a girl since 2001. :)

CP is determined by attack, stamina, defense using the formula in the pic

They have a number from 0-15 in this game and you can find out how good your pokemon are by checking those 3 stats

They are hidden but using the formula you can find out

lol yeah I can't figure it out at all. The only stats I can see on my pokemon are height, weight, and HP.

I can't find anything else

So what am I supposed to do w/ the formula then?

I'm assuming you were posting that to help me determine which pokemon I should keep, but if everything is hidden, then I can't really use that at all, which brings me back to the original question of what am I supposed to do to determine which pokemon are worth keeping vs which to turn into candy, lol

You need to use an IV calculator to estimate stats. Plenty of those online. You also need to evaluate the Pokemon's two attacks. There are lists online that give each Pokemon's best attacks.

If it's a common Pokemon with a low evolution cost (like pidgey or rattata) you're better off hoarding them and spam evolving those with a lucky egg up to net you a few easy trainer levels though.

These "You're going too fast!" messages are super annoying.

I was moving like ~8 MPH through my own neighborhood hatching eggs, and it still popped up. I assume it's buggy and they're still working out the kinks, but GTFO. And once you click "I'm a passenger", it shouldn't come up again.

Edit: @ Tidis and Jiko's discussion about reworking gyms. I'd like to be able to place more than 1 Pokemon in one. Too often I can't hold a gym because there's no one but me fighting for it. Team Instinct ftw!

I get them walking all the time. Dumb.

Pokemesh still works as a tracker but it updates slow. Is anything anyone using better?

Tiger, are you using Android? If so, you can login to your account by downloading the "Go Stats" application. It literally does everything for you, all you have to do is login.

I had my phone set on the 10 min timer before auto turning off. Rather annoying trying to remember all the time. I had it in my pocket as i was mowing the lawn today. Found out this is not a very ideal method. Its a 1 acre property (43,560 square feet) going up and down, back and fourth the whole thing over and over and over. It really adds up in distance traveled. At least in real life. After 5 or so hours my egg only went from 1.06km to 1.26km (total of 0.124 miles) which is waaaay off. So every tho its a large area for a house or what not, for gps tracking it seems a very bad option. So im guessing straighter lines in distance would be more effective then back and fourth actions.

After all that time.. when i came back in towards the end and my battery was around 10% i went to plug it in, but it wouldnt charge. I got a warning on screen saying the battery is far to hot to risk charging at that time...

You can actually download a "No Screen Off" app that can prevent any timeouts on your screen, despite your phone's settings. This will not, however, override the Battery Saver option in PGO

which app is this? I did a search and saw a few different ones. Not sure which ones would work/work best or are compatible with this phone tho.

Honestly, if you're having battery issues, best solution is to keep 1-2 external battery chargers and a small usb on hand at all times. Can pick one up at walmart. five below, or other cheap retailers for inexpensive. They aren't the Samsung kinds, but they get the job done when you're hurting for juice.

Yea i looked at them a while back. Was wondering tho, why do ppl seem to prefer these external chargers that actually need charged themselves as apposed to a external charger that could run on a battery (AA etc) and could be used any time.

Because they can charge their phones during the day with the battery, and not only charge their phone overnight, but also charge the battery that charged their phone, as opposed to having to go to buy new batteries. It's more convenient, I let my external charge overnight and hook my phone up to a wall outlet as I sleep, so when I wake up, full batteries on both.

only for short periods of time. if you out and about and your external has no charge left, your screwed. Where *** you can always through new batteries in a charger and keep going. Tho i guess these days msot ppl arnt outside long enough to make that worth while.
