Hey just wondering if Svelt. Gouriz +1 is supposed to be in both dream tier and entry level leaden sets. Eschan stone is in the top tier after Svelt in entry tier. I thought maybe orpheus sash but is that only BiS if youre close to mob? Or does the 1% at long distances still win? I'm not sure if this was touched on throughout the conversations but I dont wanna read through 60 pages for the answer lol
It depends on distance. 2 pages back -> https://www.ffxiah.com/forum/topic/52018/luck-of-the-draw-a-corsairs-guide-new/58/#3446146

If you're going to be RA'ing, Path A. If you're going to be melee, Path B.

I have a R25/25 Path B and working on finishing my Path A (@10/25), seeing better results in a full buff situation from Path B (Faster TP/Overflow Leaden) but that's with an unfinished Path A rostam.

IMHO if you want to just do one or the other, I would suggest path A, you'll find more uses for it and will either barely lose or match the DPS from Path B in given situations.

Has Rostam ever been added to Timers plugin? I'm trying to configure how to run dual Rostams in GS, //gs showswaps shows it's being equipped for rolls but my Phantom Rolls are still at 9:50. Wondering if I'm doing this right...

Using this code based off someone's suggestion, if anyone else recommends something less conflicting, I'm all ears.
Code
	sets.precast.CorsairRoll = {
	main={name="Rostam",bag="Wardrobe 2"},
	range="Compensator",
    head={ name="Lanun Tricorne +3", augments={'Enhances "Winning Streak" effect',}},
    body={ name="Lanun Frac +3", augments={'Enhances "Loaded Deck" effect',}},
    hands="Chasseur's Gants +1",
    legs={ name="Carmine Cuisses +1", augments={'Accuracy+20','Attack+12','"Dual Wield"+6',}},
    feet={ name="Lanun Bottes +3", augments={'Enhances "Wild Card" effect',}},
    neck="Regal Necklace",
    waist="Flume Belt",
    left_ear="Etiolation Earring",
    right_ear="Odnowa Earring +1",
    left_ring="Defending Ring",
    back={ name="Camulus's Mantle", augments={'INT+20','Eva.+20 /Mag. Eva.+20','"Snapshot"+10','Damage taken-5%',}},
    }

Then my engaged set has
main={name="Rostam",bag="Wardrobe 4"},

You can simply use in game timers to confirm if your Rostam C swap is working.

A buddy of mine had this same issue , he uses Selindrile's GS. To date, he has never found a work around for equipping 2 different Rostam's. Defining a bag and or Item ID never worked.

At what point do Herculean Gloves surpass Carmine Gauntlets for Leaden Salute?

Also, when do Herculean Trousers pass Meg. Chausses +2 for Last Stand?

Thanks ^^

For Leaden, last I crunched, it was after you enter DM territory, when dual-wielding on the front line with R25 Rostam Path A and Tauret. The 6STP on the carmine is really nice for overflow TP and WS+6x-hit maintenance.

Max non-DM augs seemed to get really close, but it seemed to only win out if consideration wasnt given to overflow. Either way, we're talking about a less than 100 WSDPS difference here.

I had a dual rostam set up using this kind of code:
Code
sets.weapons.RostamDP = {main={name="Rostam", bag="Wardrobe 1", priority=1}, range="Death Penalty", sub={name="Rostam", bag="Wardrobe 3", priority=2}}

You basically need something like 10%WSD with 15 mab or 40MAB with some low WSD (like 3% for example) or simply 43+MAB. That still without counting in stuff like stp on Carmine tho.

Non-REMA magic dmg guns. Does a perfect augment Doomsday really beat a Molybdosis? How close are they? I've managed an Agi 21, Matk 18, WSD 5 Doomsday after plenty of stones and I don't know if I should keep working at it.

I used doomsday with perfect augments prior to DP, and tested it vs. Moly and doomsday pulled ahead by a pretty good margin. I don't remember exact values but 7%WSD was very noticeable. I'd imagine yours still pulls ahead by quite a bit.

So I don’t have access to the spreadsheet or any sims.. I’m on vacation and my phone - but this test needs to be done on something more relevant than apex crabs. Dyna D stats, mobs, and bosses are probably a better test. In general, when you’re receiving major mab/macc buffs, weather bonus, and geo bubbles in dynamis, the WSD usually plays a much bigger factor.

I’m obviously not sure what the numbers would be, but I would guess the gap would be even larger between the two.

It depends on your entire set. Trying to make a "generalized" wsd:mab ratio is kinda misleading.

Takes 5 min to open excel and enter the number, or log on in game and test the numbers with your current set. That will be much more accurate than trying to guess which one is better with a generalized ratio.

I'm considering taking up COR so that I have a job that's popular for endgame. Obviously this means I'm looking at getting DP, would I want to consider any other guns in it's stead or is it the clear cut leader?

Build a Savage set and make an Anarchy +2 for when mobs are dark resistant (Omen bosses) and you're good to go. Any other gun is pretty unnecessary once you have a DP and a Savage Blade set.

Fomalhaut is good for situations where you want to stay out of range + the target is dark resistant. For example, I use it for the first 5% of Ou because of the absorb buffs mechanic - my LS have me Last Stand it down to 95% whilst we're all out of range.

Relatively new COR here. In the case of melee TP / leaden salute scenario, I have a few questions:

1) I'm a bit confused why Tauret seems to be the best offhand option? Is it the combination of:
magic dmg 217,
magic attack bonus 16,
acc 40,
mag acc 40?

2) If this is the case, wouldn't Naegling also be an equal off hand option as it has the same stats?

3) Also what about rostam (any path since those bonuses don't work) off hand, how would that compare? It has:
magic dmg 217 (same),
magic attack bonus 0 (lower),
acc 50 (higher)
mag acc 50 (higher)

4) How much does the magic dmg 217 contribute to LS dmg? I have trouble adjusting this value in my dps spreadsheet

Thanks

1) Cor has higher native dagger skill, and dagger has lower delay so more accuracy and faster TP gain using Tauret over Naegeling.

2)See 1.

3)Oops missed this originally. I wouldn't buy a second Rostam just for the 10Macc gain tbh, especially since it puts out slightly lower numbers, but I happen to already have 1 for tp gain, and 1 for rolls so I utilize offhand Rostam mostly when max acc is required, Tauret/Naeg otherwise

4)Not sure how it calculates for weaponskills but for magic, my understanding is it adds directly to the base damage value instead of the multiplier.

Rostam is better for Macc and acc but for highest damage numbers Tauret and Nagling will beat it for offhand.
Mdmg + is quite weak for magic WSs while MAB is quite potent.

The damage MDMG adds to magic WSs is Magic Damage * (Player MAB/Mob MDB).

Basically, it's tiny.
