it partially resolved itself in the last 10 minutes lol

basically my best friend and i met via dating. and he dumped me with the line "your not jewish" i cant date you. And now several years later i get "i think i was wrong in that decision."

so im not having it whatsoever, and well it caused a small conflict last night lets just say :)

That is quite a way to dump someone... Glad to hear it partly resolved, hope you can get the rest of it sorted out to escape the fried food and ice cream (after you have had an appropriate ammound of course)

Is he Jewish? If so I'd guess the justification would be that he didn't want to commit so someone of a different faith but I would lean towards thinking it was a copout as well.

I feel better now I was quite upset this morning. This reaffirms my belief that med/bio professions CANNOT date attorneys. All you do is argue.


Yes he's Jewish and raised in Israel. He goes to synagogue weekly, speaks Hebrew, the whole kosher sausage.

He knew I wasn't Jewish. I'm latino, we're pretty much all Catholic. But get this his ex before me was...drum roll please.... LATINO! lol So yah to this day i feel like its a copout and hence why i said "no."

It just irritated me that he's brought it up, on now two separate occasions.

It sounds like he might be struggling with the whole "you can only be with another Jewish person" rule. I am not Jewish, nor am I a gay male, but I did date a Jewish guy back in HS and his Mom used to hound him. Eventually we broke up because it was too much pressure. Yes he liked me, but he knew it couldn't be long term if he was going to make his family happy and follow the rules.

However, on the other side of the coin, your guy already cannot marry a Jewish woman in order to follow the rules and make his family happy (unless he plans to be miserable for the rest of his life) so using the whole "your aren't Jewish" doesn't make a whole lot of sense.

Maybe he was trying to stay partially in line by sticking with Jewish men and then realize F this, I want to be happy and date whoever, not limit myself because of my religion. If you were interested in him, then maybe ask some questions to dig a little deeper. If not, oh well, his loss anyway, right! :)

I was interested 4 years ago, but I'm stubborn as an ox- I'm a Scorpio. If you wrong me once I never forget it. I have too much pride for me to accept his offer/date.

Actually his family is supportive of him being gay, I actually got "I want you to meet my parents" line last night, which really aggravated me.

Every Scorpio i know is incredibly stubborn. I went out with a Taurus once in college, learned that lesson quick lol. OH boy that was fun it was like two pitbulls fighting.
