What does "CN" stand for in Limbus, as in "CN Opening"? The only thing I can come up with is Crawlers' Nest but that doesn't seem right.

i think the tricky part with this content is if they gave omega/ultima some sort of drop or currency there would be a lot of people not getting it due to HPing/etc. maybe they anticipated this or it was dumb luck, i think it would be hard to tie something to.
It really wouldn't be hard to keep server-side track of who participated and just mail drops to their inbox when the mob dies. |

If I were to guess, finishing wave 1 adds shards to the chests, wave 2 crafting materials, and wave 3 the omega/ultima parts. Maybe drop rates similar to matter?
Notes make it sound like you need shard + matter for each augment level, so could potentially need 30 shards for each HQ2 piece...

just scrolled the first couple pages and there was like 1 horizon comment to 50 not.
which if there is 1500 active online players on horizon, retail out numbers them about 10:1 so a 50:1 comment ratio would make pretty good sense.
it is the first comment though, not denying that. but i'm also going to assume horizon players are likely to be more engaged than non-ffxi players or even ffxi players in general
There were 3 of them. They are on every single FFXI video, almost without a doubt. I did have the thought that they are probably bots from the intial funds pushed, but its every single video now of someone trying the game and doing a similar video like this. Some of them engage but most just leave that comment. I couldn't help but think the voice is AI but who knows these days. Judging by the channel itself, seems like the person is trans and not very consistent about their voice masking. But, it could be AI.
Either way, it feels like Horizon stans are camping YouTube just to advertise. It's always the first few comments, somehow. Wouldn't be that surprised if they were advertising bots, tbh. Huh, I didn't get that impression. Usually XIV players who are trans are pretty vocal about it.
Weirdbarbie here has a lotta other labels for themself like, "AudHD" and pronouns listed into the, "They" column. Just seems like a chick that buys into all those kinds of labels. "AudHD" is supposedly, Autistic with ADHD, and this is my first time encountering it (course I don't go around much of the internet as I used too). Also tons of her vids are labeled as being filmed in Edmonton which is the capital of Alberta Canada.
So northern-western Canadian either way.
Enough about that though, about the comments... Since they're coming from the angle of being XIV player first (though their XIV experience seems just as new as their XI experience) there's a lot of XIV players being like, "Oh I always wanted to get into XI! I just never had the time!" or any other list of excuses/"I always loved this game I never played because it's being endorsed now"
Better late than never, I suppose, but it all reeks of insincerity. Maybe I've reached being an old curmudgeon territory though.
I pretty much think the same, they are mostly doing it for content and views. Most have every excuse in the book until they reach the ultimate "it costs a sub" excuse. I think if the game had modern graphics/UI a lot more people would try it, but we are past that atm I guess. That is why it feels like such a backstab to have the games own fans/previous fans try to cannibalize the remaining playerbase lol, its really weird. |

I mean, between the patch notes and the actual items it seems pretty hard to misunderstand.
Get shards and craft materials from boxes.
Trade shard(s) for the armor type you want and matter to the Furnace to get an EX Jewel.
Trade Jewel and cursed item to Furnace to get the actual item.
There's probably a unit cost for each step, and we don't know what the augment costs will be yet(but it's probably the same as the accessories). |

Yes, it's fine and more than quick enough. BPs take a while to go off because the pet is doing the animation to get ready to do the thing.
Source: I've been using this style of macro for SMN for years.
I'd be pretty surprised if you actually need a wait 1 here

it's exactly the same as every other cursed gear.
You can buy mats. You craft it cursed. You can sell it. You uncurse it, it becomes R/E
Just there doesn't exist abjurations so you don't know exactly how the uncurse happens.
I swear people don't read the update notes.
You can craft new equipment by trading purification items and cursed items made from materials acquired within Temenos / Apollyon to the Temenos Furnace or Apollyon Furnace.
Crafting purification items
Use the shards, Alabaster Matter, and Murky Matter that can be obtained from the treasure chests and trade them to the Temenos Furnace or Apollyon Furnace. |

Some of the crafting mats are showing up on vslefor from the gob. We have a few cursed nq on the ah as well. Haven't seen any prices yet for either but it is only a matter of time.

I do think, however, that the changes to the chest should be instant or next day. waiting a month is.. something else..

Has anyone used BST (or PUP or SMN) on this month's Ambuscade? Pet Special Moves break the shield, but I haven't gotten a chance to solo anything past E on BST (trusts get wrecked). E was simple, Lamb Chop spam (1 charge), but I feel like a fun pet setup could handle this without issue on VD.

Without knowing exactly what will count to give keys, these look like the fastest things that would grant a holiday item at 4~5 minutes.
Repeat a race granting one of the trees, snowbunny hat, or snowbunny hat+1.
According to the starlight celebration post, that seems to be on the list they have for ones that give keys. Thanks. |

At the very least omega/ultima should offer bonus units (that isn't counted towards the weekly cap). Similar to how Mireu grants bonus domain points. They really do need a reward/incentive for people to come back and kill it month after month and not just sit out and expect others to do it.
As for the whole tuning issue, Probably not going to be as bad going forward now that people know what to expect. Wont just be 80 wars showing up expecting to zerg them, tanks will know to sub ninja and maybe more people will break out ranged DDs.

The Hoxne Ampulla was the perfect candidate for a long, hard, involved quest line à la Black Belt. Instead it's a random roll. Such a missed opportunity. well, if you're not lucky enough to get it from trove, & you dont buy/bot your gil, it is a bit of a quest to get 300-400M |
