I think the Fencer ability will apply to single/main hand only weapons. I don't foresee SAMs switching their Haguns out for swords just to use Fencer as SAM90/WAR45.

Anything that isn't boosting it to a desired volume is a nerf. If it's not what people want = nerf. RNG didn't get a min Eagle Eye Shot ability, nerf!

yes, because being able to self skillchain every 3mins is the whole purpose of playing sam.

Most sams running around are six hit, which is pretty easy to pull off on other 2hnd DD jobs.

Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't Fencer:"Increases rate of critical hits when wielding with the main hand only. Grants a TP bonus to weapon skills." To me that sounds an awful like single hand wielding to me. Making WAR and BST going sword/axe + shield to balance out the 2handed weapon update a while ago and grips for 2handed weapons. Same with Hasso/Seigan only works with 2handed.

Yes, but with the rest of the adjustment, your skillchains are stronger than theirs anyway. And only your skillchains will have the magic damage boost, too.

maybe "nerf" is the wrong word then....downgraded compared to other jobs now that sekka got put into sub level and sam not given "Sam-like" JTs that the other jobs got...dnc will probably be able to out parse a sam now if you work your dnc right, as will drg (and from what I'm looking it might outparse by a ***)
edit: because now Dnc can have MASSIVE DD potential with /war or /sam, with climactic flourish + saber danc + joy off-hand (with now native DW) + conserve tp kicking in on self SCs (dnc now has 2 JAs that will allow them to self SC)
but don't get me wrong i'm still gonna push my sam as hard as i can with the build i like...but still...those jobs got a massive DD boost that sam didn't

at first i was all WTF, sam can do hella ***now. all related to two hand weapons and now can 6 ws sc.
now im all, SE thinks the SAM ability is cool and the dual wield, so not lets see if others will sub sam and dnc more
F them in the A, should have kept sam a stand alone job like DRG, MNK, DRK, PUP, PLD, meaning these are just not mainly subbed in all situations and rather a true end game job
not that i will ever take nin or dnc past 50, but not i might not even take sam past

You kidding me, right?
Let me know when other jobs get an ability as powerful as overwhelm. Oh, and Higher tiers of STP! or up to 180 TP from Meditate. Or a WS that pretty much insta-caps pDif on like, 99.9% of the monsters in the game.
SAM doesn't need a damn thing.

well thats your dumb leader's fault..not sam being a good DD's fault but SAM isn't always the best DD but everyone seems to think it is. Due to the player base being *** stupid, SAM doesn't need anything. This update isn't a nerf at all. NOTHING CHANGED aside from a level replacement which isn't a nerf since it dropped the level requirement isntead of raising it. Stop being butthurt and hop back on the god damn bandwagon

I would like this a little more if it was less than 3 min recast, seeing how SAMs will WS 125468 times in that 3 mins. UNLESS it is crazy strong (which i dont think it will be), such as doubling SC damage? I wouldnt mind turning that 700 Frag into a 1400+ every 3 mins.
