 Recently dumped a boatload of cash from our company buyout into a new computer. Scored a 6057 on the benchmark, but never tried it with my older one.
Is that a decent score? They don't seem to have provided any measuring stick, and I never read the previous e-peen comparison threads. Also XIV just had a huge performance boost apparently. Scores go something like this atm: 0-1000 = Unplayable 1000-1500 = Low - Medium quality 1500-2000 = Medium - high quality 2000-2500 = High quality 2500-3000 = Very high quality Of course you could push it higher if you could handle a bit of lag, but those scores - quality numbers are assuming you want to play with no lag at all. If you want technica; info, I can't help.. but looking at this thread (http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/290906-15-whats-ffxiv-benchmark-score/) people seem to average the 4k's, so i'd presume 6k is good.. hope that helps a little, lol. Also, what settings did you have the benchmark on? Bombs sadly don't look as epic as Goobs :(

The only options I had were HIGH versus LOW resolution, and race/gender. I did hyuran male, 1920x1080. I also selected Japanese, which amusingly still played in English, which seems about right given how much more focused the beta has been on NA versus JP players this time around.  ALSO ZE QUIQIRN!  ALSO!!!!! DAT AKPALLU!  Also, Lancers (DRG) get an awesome ability at level 10.
They get an auto Regain and Regen :D The ability is like a drain samba too, everyone in your pt will gain HP from hitting the mob if the lancer has. also... LOL

Don't know where AH stands on the NDA etc.  Lancer ftw! from what I've read I'm so trying Lancer & Thuartmage first, although I would like to see some epic solo class released ;o As in, the ability to solo as good as a bst, or nin (But not necasarily in their fashion).
