I think the real irony in Liela's predicament, is I verily believe she would be a fantastic mother and will in all probability (sadly not guaranteed) will end up raising fantastic, well behaved, creative, and appreciative children. I find it funny how there sometimes is a correlation between the best kind of people not wanting children, and the worst kind always having them. I think that is what partially turns us off to the whole idea of children in the first place.
I question how you know she is "the best kind of person" to be a parent. Not to say she wouldn't be (don't really know her that well or what we would be using as a basis) but believing things does not make them so.
I'm also kind of curious as to where you're finding this correlation or how often sometimes is.
That and there's probably a lot of people out there that didn't really want kids and are terrible parents.
I don't. It's all allegory really. There's no promise or guarantee of to the value or consistency of one's virtues or shortcomings. We're dynamic and ever changing, therefore we are human.
I'm just going based off of what I know from previous interactions over the years. Obviously it would be naive to truly judge her parenting qualifications from evaluating her behavior via internet forums, but it's just a feeling that I believe has at least some tangibility.
I like how on radio shows the hosts can be discussing things that CLEARLY adults should have access to and children should not. They take calls and they get these women calling and the first thing they say is "Yeah, hi. Ok so, I'm a mom..." like this gives her some sort of enlightenment in the form of a point of view no one has ever had before, listen to her guys, she's a mom! She continues... "...and I think this is a bad influence on my children, what will I tell my kids when they ask "Mommy, what are they doing?" what am I supposed to tell him?" It's usually something like suggestive stuff on TV that the mother in question could easily keep the kid from seeing in the first place. I'm sure there are examples where the mom has a good, valid point but most of the ones I've heard were things that they could easily control and avoid. The last one I remember hearing this brand of stupidity on was on a radio show talking about the Lesbian couple on Glee a few years back. It's easy; don't want to see it? Change the channel.

Sounds like she wants to abandon herself of any and all responsibility of addressing contemporary social matters with her children despite their inevitability of being brought up in modern society. It seems they'd rather shelter their children of reality's truths than address it if it's a topic that makes them uncomfortable.
I can understand and sympathize that it is a difficult subject to approach, but tackling the issue in a controlled and timely environment would be practical than the alternative.
Looked up Starbase stuff on the wiki; we only need to get 1 department to tier 1 to get access to the upgrade for tier 1 Starbase. So if we finish Military tier 1, we can build the Shipyard and upgrade the Starbase to tier 1! :D

Yeah, the 2 military projects are a few hours from completing, and then we'll be half way to tier 1. Will put them back up once they're finished. I'm probably gonna put my Dilithium into Fleet projects instead of converting it to Zen now to try and speed things up.

I don't know VGM but Gundam SEED Soundtrack Volume 3 & 4 are my favorite. Also Macross Frontier's are good too. Also Aquarion EVOL. /shrug. I'm prolly of no help.
