I am reading old forums on Final Fantasy XI when it was announced to be an online game. The posts were from 2002 and wow the hatred against the idea.
If I had to put any FF game up against each other for which I played the most, well.... hands down, it would be FF XI. I think I first heard of the plans for FFXI in 1998 or so. At that point, the only thing shown was a chatroom-type program with "Cecil Harvey", "Terra Branford", and "Cloud Strife" chatting in Japanese. IIRC, FFIX, FFX, and FFXI were all kinda being announced around the same time, though FFXI had very little information at the time as practically NOTHING was done yet.

is 10 gigabit ethernet good? yeah, it's 10x faster than gigabit ethernet :P
a lot of people can still run most stuff on 100mb, I just recently upgraded my stuff to 1gb.
At work we're upgrading a lot of stuff to 10gb fiber, so that's nice.

I'm watching my FC's second coil group do their their initial runs.
They've got two random Dragoons. Two idiot randoms Dragoons who're using a shitty rotation that's making me wish I could take control of Caduceus and Hood Swipe the ***out of them until they learn better. -.-;

What rotation are they doing and what is yours?

Any non-AoE rotation that involves using Ring of Thorns is completely wrong. 120 TP for 150 Potency is stupid as hell. Not to mention they weren't weaving buffs, just spamming them and wasting GCDs.
My rotation:
HT IDC Ph TTT
HT TTT Ph TTT
Repeat
I get around 305 DPS if I can stay on a target full time for ~5 minutes. Around 380ish for the initial set.
It's the highest Potency Per Second rotation known so far. Credit goes to EasyModeX (and some Reddit people) on the official forums.

Yeah I don't keep up with the rotation things <_< Assuming IDC is Impulse Drive, Disembowel and Chaos Thrust and TTT is the Full Thrust combo?
I use
HT IDC Ph TTT with jumps/leg sweep in between and then repeat, is that good or bad? I don't play dragoon that often really.

You got em right.
That's the second best. It looses a liiiiiittle bit of damage because it doesn't get the full benefit of Chaos Thrusts DoT. Far easier to do properly though

I only use dragoon for stuff like CT really, it's not that geared. Full CT/hero's belt and then DL accessories until I get more myth. I play Paladin 90% of the time.

I think it was maybe a 5% increase? Maybe a little higher. Not enough that you'll see a noticeable difference once you're actually dealing with enemy mechanics.

I do HT > ID > BFB + Chaos > Phleb > Dragonfire Dive > T + LS > V > PSjump(PS is weaved earlier so no delay) > LS + F > TVF. When done right it gets Chaos till the end all in BFB. After that I reset HT > Phleb > IDC, when BFB comes back up I put it in front of whatever is more optimal to do given timers/boss health remaining etc.
Sheena Hayane taught it to me back in October. She always puts Dragonfire at the end though, but personally imo that makes you lose a lot more on Dragonfire.

I do, actually. Everything, including DFD and the next Heavy Thrust gets buffed by BfB. The buffs only matter for the initial hit of a DoT, it doesn't need to be up for the full duration.
Buffs also work when the ability is clicked, it doesn't have to remain up for the animation.

That's true, but the way I do it gets x2 TVFs into the same amount of time. Also when facing things that aren't a training dummy, it ensures you don't waste Impulse Drive potency when tanks/mobs/etc. make sudden turns or adjustments.
