People always talk about how Mondays are the worst but I think Tuesdays are my Mondays.
When will people learn that worse day is thursday?!
You're far into the week so you're tired of everything, but at the same time you still haven't reached the weekend. You're stuck in that "I want to die" place!

I had to read this a few times to figure out what sounded wrong about it, I figured it out.
"Healers are mean in this game! I lagged and disconnected repeatedly in Alex and then the healer said mean things to me and wouldn't heal me!"
Well you should fix your router.
"There is nothing wrong with my internet! Everyone gets lag sometimes, it is no reason to be mean!"
I don't get lag, if I do I fix my router. Getting lag and disconnecting means that you have a problem with your internet. You should fix it because your problem is affecting 7 other people while you are in Alex. If you don't want to fix it, don't do content that affects other people, or just don't play.
"WAAAAAH! You are being mean! You are saying I shouldn't play because I have lag like (I mistakenly believe) everyone else has! I am gunna report you to the admins!"
If I did, I wouldn't play MMOs with ***internet and make it miserable for myself and other people.
Keep thinking that buddy.
I've been there man.
When I was on the Naval base and didn't have my own net, I had to use wifi. I played FFXI, but I solo'd. I fished, I gathered, I leveled dancer because I didn't have to *** anyone over with my lag, my disconnects etc.
Once I ranked up (in the Navy) and had stable nets, that was when I joined an LS, started doing missions, etc.
People who say "It's my $12.99" need to get *** impaled. Your $12.99 doesn't mean ***when you are *** over 7 other people who are paying $90.93.
On one end, Grumpy is right. You're affecting 7 other people with your lag when you enter something like that, it's not completely right to hold back people in such a way.
On the other hand lag does happen, if it's a consistent problem then yes maybe you should try not to do that kind of content so as not to hurt other people who are also trying to "have fun" or clear. But, it is that person's choice if they want to attempt to play the game with problems like that, and I don't know if it's really right to tell them they aren't allowed to play a game just because they can't or just don't have internet that can sustain the game properly if they can enjoy playing the game under such conditions.
We all need our escapes, and MMOs are probably one of the #1 means for many gamers.
i have known people with good connection, but for some reason, XIV slows down, lags or disconnects them ocationally.
SE's server isnt all that good either
As long as the people you are with are informed and don't care then I don't see the problem.
Personally I've been having connection issues as of late and I'm fairly certain it's a combination of my router needing the wireless reset every so often and the wifi NIC in the laptop being a piece of *** (already replaced it once like 3 years ago). But I'm level 51, so :D
Just stay away from endgame content where you are going to piss people off by "lagging".
If you need an MMO for escape reasons but you are gunna use your internet connection as an excuse for performing poorly you absolutely should limit yourself in what content you attempt.
A broadband internet connection is listed on the system requirements. If you can't meet the system requirements, don't play the game.
If you choose to play the game, if you can't perform because of your connection, if you still choose to attempt content that is beyond your means be it your internet connection or your skill level, if you STILL TRY DESPITE ALL THAT, then DO NOT
DO NOT
DO NOT *** cry when someone sticks a figurative digital foot up your *** for stinking up their run.
Also, internet providers, including Comcast, can and will throttle you and can and will lie about it.
We used to get issues because we streamed everything we watched while also playing four instances of FFXI (main character and box for each of us).
There were times we'd have to just log the boxes off and put a DVD on and hope it helped. I actually had a tech be honest with me once and go "Yeah. Yeah, you're getting throttled based on total usage in your area."
I tend to lean more with Grumpy on this, but it's admittedly an easier thing to say than to commit to yourself. I appreciate people who do it, and try to do it myself. At the same time, sometimes you need your clears/drops/whatever and maybe it's someone else's turn to have a shitty day at your expense for once.
People are complicated, man.
Which is why I mostly play D3 solo, but will happily team up with you guys and make an *** of myself!
This is a thread that I found on another website I post at. It can be really really interesting. I thought it deserved a place here.
Post your random thoughts for the day here, or anything else that intrigues you.
For starters, is it possible to give constructive critism to someone who doesn't have a neck? I totally just walked by a girl who didn't. Someone isn't getting a necklace for Valentines day!
And who decided black and white can't be colors? I want to say a racist. I really do.
