Got the surgery pushed back to October 23 to give time to do what I have to do beforehand. Surgeon seemed optimistic enough but it's a big procedure so I'll be spending the next couple months as if they're the last I have left.

I don't think there is anything quite like logging into an MMORPG world you've played on and off on for the past 6 years or so and finding it completely empty. Even though it says there's some 200 people online, I can't find anyone anywhere.
I searched all the major cities and landmarks and there wasn't a single soul... places that use to be thriving with life now lay completely abandoned. I stand in the middle of the capital city in all the best gear I earned with my guild and all my friends years before and remember them and all the times we had, good and bad-- as I stare, looking for any sign of life-- any sound. Nothing. Silence. This comes at a time when I have never felt more like an alien. Never more alone. Powers been out for over twelve hours now, pretty rude, our area wasn't even that bad
