If the power or internet goes out, your phone won't work with vonage (unless it's changed) one of the last hurricanes we went to a friends house to ride out the storm and they had vonage, phone wouldn't work. It doesn't work the same as a landline.

I think he's pointing out the fact that Jos said in his country you don't buy cheese named after a country, then lists Swiss cheese.

my Professor for artificial intelligence hates me a lot i believe...

Gave a presentation with my friend for a program that helps beginner and intermediate players win. So I started off the presentation introducing myself and my partner and I asked the class if anyone has played or heard of the game, because if so it would make explaining things much simpler. Everyone in the class raises their hand or nods their head except the professor. I'm like.. okay~ moving a long ~ I explain what the game is lamen terms; thats its about playing as one of three factions and playing in games that consist of 1 to 8 players with the goal to destory the other team etc etc.
So I continue on the presentation and I explain how the program is used and I give a scenario of a problem with a solution and we run our program.
The program asks for the "user's" army type(protoss,terran,zerg)
then it asks for their opponent's army type(protoss,terran,zerg)
then it asks if the user is considered a beginner or intermediate player.
then depending on their army selection and their opponents selection, it displays an assortment of common but usually hard to stop scenarios found throughout the multiplayer part of the game.
Then once you pick a scenario, based upon if you're a beginner or intermediate player it proves a solution on how you can stop one of these scenarios and win.

So...we run the program and go through it and it outputs the solution for this particular scenario. After that I run a few video clips of actual game play on how the scenario and the solution is played out.

After the video clips were completed, we continued on with the presentation and explained how we could implement and modify this program for other games, medical diagnostic equipment and PC diagnostic equipment. We thought this would be good that our program could be easily modified since its quite similar to diagnostic programs, we just put a starcraft twist to it.

The professor was like, nope, i don't see that happening. and we're like ok...

Then she says, are you done yet?
and I say, nope! still more!!

so we continue the presentation even further explaining how we can then convert it to a smartphone app etc and we provided reasons why the project was hard because we're using a really funky programming language.

Then after we finished. She's says I don't see how this program is beneficial to anything and that scenario you showed was hardwired into your program.

And I say I can explain more and even show you the code. And she's like no~ I don't go time for this and basically shoved us away.

my teammate was furious.

yeah it hooks up to the existing dsl lol maybe ill just look for cheaper land line service instead lol

ok so apple care doesnt cover water damage >.> but i dont know how apparent it is that its water damage, so i might try to take it to them and see

Most electronics have a water damage sticker though, so that's probably what they will look for first.

well as far as i know, the furthest the water got was on the battery, so idk if any stickers got hit or not

Check the battery itself for a water damage indicator, or you can just google "your model + water damage indicator"

cause if that water sticker is set off it's game over. They won't even talk to you.

:-( That really sucks, Volkom. There's always got to be that one teacher who just doesn't care how hard his/her students work. If the project/presentation isn't catered to their own interests, they just don't give a damn.

well i guess she doesn't like me for the fact that my laptop is always open and theres an assortment of really fast mouse clicks and loud typing. and on some days I wear sunglasses throughout class cuz I want to hide my bloodshot eyes or my eyes hurt from the glare b/c i haven't slept much

Wow O.o most of my professors allowed laptops in class because note-taking was much easier with a laptop. And since your sunglasses aren't hindering other peoples' learning, I don't see the problem. :-( Hell, most of my professors didn't even care if you came to class at all or slept through it, as long as you weren't disruptive. She sounds like she's just wound kinda tight. Some people just need to get laid. xD Don't tell her I said that!

Well wearing a hat in court isn't hurting anyone, either. I'm not saying I agree with her (I don't) but it's probably a respect thing.
