Hrm under 1k could get something okay. $1100 managed to get something that would last for quite a few years with a lot of power including monitor gaming keyboard and mouse. all assuming you handle construction and operating system >_>

I just saw that new extended video for FF XIV, each time I see something on it, it seems more and more appealing.
Who knows until I actually get to play it, but my expectations are getting higher and higher now.
I wish I was as excited lol. The new 2 1/2m trailer is neat, but I just can't get excited for it. I'm in the beta and I'll see how it changes. I'm praying I get proved wrong and ***changes for the better :).

Before I wasn't sure about leaving FF XI for FFXIV but I just wouldn't mind trying something else and it seems they are trying hard to fix the game.
As far as FF XI goes, after the expansion hits I don't think I'll be playing much after that.

I would totally mug you if I was on Bahamut just as you reach 30,000, upgrade the Alexandrite into a Polearm then do that weird thing in Oblivion/Skyrim where you pick someone's pockets... to put stuff in... (??) then put the Polearm in there...
