It didn't address the issue anyway.

There is no issue except in people's heads. Like usual.

I meant the issue that the units don't play nicely with percentages other than 25. You're always + or - instead of just being able to reach 256/1024

Just always make it X2 and it'd always be in favor of the player, literal nonissue. It would always be over 256 and no one would've ever said a word about overcapping.

In 75 you could've had 1 extra haste if you had 5 pieces, awe jeeze. Pre salvage there was like 10 total pieces in game with haste on it. (not literally) Homam Dusk Blessed and a handful of belts.

And yet people were paying 600k in 2010 for a simple BCNM drop.

I dont think the lifting was all that heavy, try hitting the gym tubbs.

You had Speed Belt for the elite exclusive, Fuma Kyahan and MNK Belts, Swift Belt came later when people started progressing through the CoP missions in larger numbers. The only other Haste option was /DRG Wyvern Earring, but /DRG was a useless sub back then, and unless you stacked haste, it was not very noticeable. Zeal cap/sadhu bracelets came later.

The real pre-haste-gear days was DRK using Scythe in Deco Weapon Ru'Avitau camp doing the engage/disengage glitch. Back then, there was no delay between engaging and disengaging, so you could basically spam attack button and bypass delay repeatedly. This is what the poor DDs who couldn't afford speed belts and the full haste setup used to do.

A bit later but haste was always scarce back in the day.

These days it's pasted all over everything, but they could have just put it all where it fits perfectly... on a single piece.

Do you care about being +1 higher accuracy than what you need to cap with?

So just to update because I'm stubborn, did another Ameretat, putting me at 5 kills now (maybe 4)

9 vines (1 char has both drops, so 11 vines), 1 mask putting me at

3 masks (and none of them are on one of the 2 the chars that has the lotto pop body)
2 leggings

By char:
neither
mask
neither
mask
both
leggings

This is not worth it lol. I'm giving it an honest *** effort here, double dipping every kill with a key, but giving personal loot tied behind a ***drop rate is ***. Noobs would be better off doing Omen for cards and gil or Ambuscade for freebies (total HM) and gil. They could have added an actual loot pool on the NM as well for that drop that is being stubborn.

Dumb as it may sound, I've had a much worse drop rate...

What I would do is warp to Morimar #4, mount over to and kill PH's for the Matamata that no one was camping, then warp, and weypoint to an 18 minute NM. I'd get about 5 NM's in a cycle before the 1st NM respawned.

In 3.5 hours the Matamata finally spawned, and I had killed each timed NM about 12-13 times, so we're talking 60~65 kills. Of those kills I got 2 pieces of armor, and not from the 3.5hr repop lottery NM.

And yes I'd grab a new key daily, so there's a few additional drops included in that mix.

The drop rates are really bad, but that's how they want the content. Their solution to keeping players playing is to keep drop rates low. That's what they did with Limbus. They can't fathom that someone would enjoy playing the game without chasing an item, or that if someone took a break to play another game that they would consider coming back. It's not the best mentality but that's the hand we're dealt.

I think the best solution for this content would be to remove the Rare tag from the key and make them stackable, and change NOTHING else. Let players buy and stack keys each game day here and there over a week or so at their leisure while doing other tasks and content, and then when they decide "hey lets camp this NM", when it pops they can throw as many keys at it as they want.

"Glad" I'm not the only one getting bad luck on these drop rates. I think getting actual data of the drop rates is useful though.

The lottery spawns are awe full. Tried 3 different lottery NMs, the Keenfang Raaz in kamihr drifts, the Ironshell Craklaw in foret de hennetiel and Swiftwing Tulfaire in Marjami Ravine. I don't think I've seen any of them pop below 30-60 minutes of actively camping them, most pops took probably somewhere between 1-2 hours and I've heard claims of one pop taking up to 4 hours.

Despite bringing keys to almost all chests the drop rates aren't that great either, of course I don't have a large enough sample size but if I had to guess I'd assume somewhere between 10-20% for the lottery pops. Since they usually have 2 possible drops there is still a 50/50 chance that you don't get what you're after if something drops at all.

If you're switching camps between down times to cover more possible drops you'll most likely not have a key for every chest so I'd save them for the lottery pop NMs, primarily the ones with the body drops. I'd only start using them on 20 minute pop NMs once you have everything from the lottery pops, they are far worse imho.

it definitely was.

this forum is full of incessant whiners who likely have borderline no confidence in their decision making so they continue to play a game who's content they claim they hate at every turn.

the gear wasn't made for you. it was called out as being a stopgap between ambu and malignance. if you spend 5% of the time you do on the game that you do crying profusely on this forum then you are well past the player this gear was designed for.

you are farming it because you are autistic. get help.

Imagine being such a pathetic loser that you lurk around a forum for a video game you dont even play, oof now thats redditor-tier embarrassing.

But lets entertain the pathetic loser because I just got 12 more vines and I need to do some punching down:

1-its inferior to ambu in general, but people need to justify the new shinies having value. Even if you want to believe that it is better and more crucial than ambu equipment...
2-what good is it if its gated behind a ~5% drop rate of a personal loot pool? The base level equipment should be 25% drop rate, and this is base level equipment since it will be reforgeable later. I should have 5 or 6 masks and 5 or 6 leggings across my chars at this point, not 3 masks and 2 leggings.

The body drops of the new seed crystal HTBF aren't much better, are afaik not going to get augment treatment(?) and it seems like they gave them shinryu lvls of drop chance.

But looks like enough people are doing this stuff despite the poor time/effort/reward ratio or they wouldn't keep designing it this way, right?!??

I blame Nynja.

Maaaaan I wasnt even chasing this ***down until I mentioned how the Olorun set only has 25% haste meaning you need to cover that last 1% elsewhere and then that whole conversation about 25% gear haste actually being 25% came up.

I just finished collecting the all of four sets as of about an hour ago. So, essentially it took me a week to get all of the drops, camping maybe 2 ~ 4 hours a day. The drop rates are extremely polarizing - I would hazard a guess at around a 25% chance to get a gear drop if you don't have either piece to start with, but getting the second piece is where the real misery starts for each target and you will see stacks of the common drops start to pile up. You can easily rotate three 15 minute pop targets in the hour interval between key refreshes.

The lottery pops aren't worth camping unless two full hours have passed since their last spawn. Don't bother with one hour intervals, they take longer than that in most cases. Also, absolutely have a key on you when you do these because you will see them far less often than the 15 minute pops.

expecting reforging before augments come along. What that'll look like is anyones guess. Could be a substantial boost, could be AF/relic+4 treatment and just bumps the defensive bases up to "malig" tier and leaves everything else alone

Probably WSD 12% on bodies at the end, all base stats +10, meva/eva +50, acc/racc/ratt/att/macc/mab +10, -1~2%DT, +1~2MDB. I wouldn't count on anything more and that alone would be a lot anyway. Would make few of them bis for many things.

Tonight killed:

Matamata, 0/2
Snapweed, 0/1
Craklaw, 1/2 (Legs.. Not body... already had and sent to mule)
Tulfaire, 0/2
Yztarg 0/3
Orobon, 0/1

This is including key pops.

Idk.. each chest has 4 drops right? 2 Material options and 2 armor options? Going off on a limb, I'd wager that each material is 40%, and each armor is 10%. So 20% chance at an armor drop if you dont have either. This is Purely "feels" based, no facts or hard data

Some NM's have one drop (Ameretat is only Vine), some have 2 (Stryx is feather and plume, Chapuli is Horn and Wing)
