Jack-o'-Lantern?
  • Charisma -10

  • Accuracy +10

  • Ranged Accuracy +10 (??)

  • Evasion +10

  • Arcana Killer (5% activation rate)

  • Resist Vs. Dark +25

-edit- Try this ^^

What Anye said. +10 EVA is the highest you can get on food and those are the most reasonably priced of all the +10 options.

That said, ACC+ food would serve you better regardless.

Yeah, I kinda regret FFXIAH doesn't have like, a power search for food stats. :o Might bring that up with Scragg when he's less busy. ^^

I personally like Squid sushi for nin/dnc solo, acc so you can hit the mob and get tp for cures, and agi for some eva/parry. Jacko's are cool but don't forget chr/vit is the stat for your waltz's so you will cure yourself for less.

I doubt it'd work because FFXIAH is driven by automation. Food Effects are discovered by the Players, so it would require manual intervention (someone inputting the data), which would lead to errors.

I use Pizza when I need to evade since Yonin makes your acc pretty ***on top of the eva gear and for some mobs you need the attack to actually do some damage.

I like eel kabobs, eva+5 dex+4, not the best eva food but it dose add some acc and the -3 mnd dosent matter. Chr is a waltz mod so -10 isnt a good idea.

i would agree with jack-o-lantern being best for evasion, but for tanking i would use black curry

Another option would be Blackened Frog. This food tends to get overlooked alot because of the demand for sushi and other meat foods.

Food Effects: (30 minutes, All Races)

* Dexterity +2
* Agility +2
* Mind -2
* Attack +14% (Cap: 60@428 Base Attack)
* Ranged Attack +20%
* Evasion +5

Alternate Food Effects: (30 minutes, Mithra only)

* Dexterity +2
* Agility +2
* Mind -2
* Attack +14% (Uncapped)
* Ranged Attack +20%
* Evasion +5

they are very cheap to make if you have high enough cooking. I use them on my Nin(when soloing), Dnc and Thf. yeah its only +2 dex and agi but does give +5 evasion and has a decent atk boost. and if your a mithra, the +atk isn't capped.

I would suggest not using eva food for evasion tanking. Most likely you'll be replacing any accuracy gear besides body and head with evasion gear. I'm guessing since you are NIN/DNC you will be solo or duo. Use sushi or pizza for food.

Fighting something like Aquarius as NIN/DNC with this setup takes like 30-45 minutes. If you are whiffing it'll take a lot longer.

What I would suggest also is making a good Ninjutsu Skill+ and Magic Accuracy set for landing Kurayami, Hojo and Jubaku as those are real lifesavers in a lowman/solo NIN/DNC situation.

Evasion +10
Accuracy +10
3 hour duration

my NIN EVA set:
(Optical Hat if you need more ACC)

Evasion skill +25
Evasion +66
AGI +37
Parrying skill +15
(not including food effects)

Then use a different setup. I dont even eva tank Aquarius anymore. Haste + nuke set and he drops in less than 10 mins.

As far as food goes, pile on the +acc / att food. Using Jacko's unless youre level 10, is not the way to go at 75.

Well in that case I might as well gear up BLM and grav AM2. I was just giving an example. Guy was asking about evasion setup food. Not like Aquarius is even worth going out of your way to fight for gil.

He's for giggles, and keep sharp. Not to mention, it really pisses off all the beastmasters in the tree that try to solo him.

Sushi -> Blade: Kamu.

Kamu will give you more evasion than any food, it's the best WS to use when soloing something you try to evade a lot.
The acc down effect only last 60s, so you need to be able to tp quickly while wearing evasion gear (and sporting Yonin)to keep Kamu effect up at all times.
And on top of that, you'll also kill faster.

All this makes sushi the best food for most evasion-based setups.

Chr -10 really doesn't do ***to Curing Waltz.....oh like 10 less HP cured. OMFG.

Still, I'd go with Pizza or Sushi like most say since Acc and other stats won't be focused on gear-wise. It all depends on what you're fighting though to be honest. :/

Trick question, NIN/DNC shouldn't be tanking. Soloing, SUSHI is your best bet so you make sure you have enough TP to land your cures.

That would actually be 2.5 hp less on curing waltz II /dnc. Or 5 for dnc main. Which granted doesn't sound like a lot but ever bit counts and using up tp needless is kinda lame. I would call 10 a big deal though on something that is probably only curing 150-170 lol

Sushi all the way, solo'ing with /dnc, your prob using Yonin. Need sushi to counter the bad acc- of yonin. Like others have said, no tp, no cures.

NIN/DNC sure as hell should be tanking. I'm not going to make a RDM, WHM or BRD tank Bune, am I?

I haven't ever needed or wish I had evasion gear for my ninja. It's not needed, killing faster > being lazy with shadows.

Evasion sets aren't always for being lazy with shadows, they're good for the "Oh ***" moments, while NIN has good Evasion it's not exactly a wasted stat to boost it a little.

Like a PDT- setup, it has its uses.

..Is there going to be a point in me arguing this? I'm not even going to bother.

Remember the 3 S's. Situation, Situation, Situation.

And no, they aren't always better.
