Spent the day in downtown sanantonio with my newly an airman brother. Didn't exactly walk down the riverwalk..we walked around it. Ate at the saltgrass steakhouse and I had awesome stuffed shrimp. It was Jumbo shrimp stuffed with cream cheese and jalapeño, wrapped in bacon and then smothered in BBQ sauce looool. It was so good.
Then went to the alamo where they were having a navy ceremony of some sort. Eventually they dispersed and it was funny because there were all these high ranking naval officers and my bro and his friend (who had no family here for graduation so we adopted him) were required to salute all of them and they kept aPpearimg around corners. Poor babies were all like "please let leave let's leave" because they were scared to death of these people. Technically they've graduated but they're still in basic training til like Sunday evening when they're taken to new dorms for tech school...so they can still get recycled for any minor infarction.
Like they had to walk around in their blues and they were terrified of jaywalking and they kept readjusting their collars and belts..it was just silly (actually it's kinda creepy)
Daus, it might seem weird to you, but getting set back in training, especially in Boot Camp is a nightmare.
No I understand. I'm several generations military and both my parents were in and Ive heard horror stories all my life about things people have done to get recycled.

It was just weird seeing my brother so different.
He's been instituionalized, like me! Though, according to my friend Rodriguez, since I don't always swing my arms when I walk around in Civies; I am an untamed stallion. Someone that the Navy didn't fully break in.
This is a thread that I found on another website I post at. It can be really really interesting. I thought it deserved a place here.
Post your random thoughts for the day here, or anything else that intrigues you.
For starters, is it possible to give constructive critism to someone who doesn't have a neck? I totally just walked by a girl who didn't. Someone isn't getting a necklace for Valentines day!
And who decided black and white can't be colors? I want to say a racist. I really do.
