Just got my Bomb Queen Ring, thanks to Ragnarok.UltimaLM <3: Ragnarok.Erikthecleric, Ragnarok.Kies, Ragnarok.Krisharr (who also got his!!! Congrats!! <3), Ragnarok.Tira, Ragnarok.Tomtomz, Ragnarok.Wran, and Ragnarok.Blindphleb, who organized the run but fell asleep on us. XD

Anyways, been working on my cure kit. Currently I'm doing "OK" for a beginning non-blinking cure kit:

HP-100:

HP+110:

For a total of 210 HP cured.

Now, I know I'm missing a few key items, such as Gigant Mantle, Morgana's Choker, Ritter Gorget/Cougar Pendant, Bloodbead Ring, and Trance Belt, but I'd like some suggestions from experienced Paladins on what you guys use, as well as improvements on my current set. Thanks ^^

I got PLD to 75 two weeks ago. I tanked Bomb Queen on my first day as 75, with a WAR, BRD, and RDM. 4-man party.

A few things I would suggest, would be to actually care about HP+ gear. It's the second most important stat for tanking (Next to Enmity), so once you get a lot of +HP gear, you'll have your Cure-cheat set up and running anyway.

Don't worry about blinking, tell your healers to use <stal> <stpt> and use it yourself, but small upgrade would be Powerful Rope, with 20 HP and MP for the + HP gap, and Scouters has more -HP.

She could do 400 with Capped skill and some gear np,

Lol, I know what you're asking--Just in general; I know I have to camp Bloodsucker for Bloodbead Ring, and Campaign for Cougar Pendant, and do Einherjar for Ritter Gorget/Morgana's Choker. Also, Gigant Mantle is 700-800k on my server, while Trance Belt is about 300k.

I'm just looking for ideas and suggestions, I'll take any advice, really.

So, it's okay to blink? I was considering making separate non-blinking and blinking sets, because I know a few friends who say it helps not to "blink like a Christmas tree." :o

Or using Windower. I find it hard to trust Xbox360/PS2 users as main healers.

may want to consider ajase bead necklace for neck slot

reasonably easy camp/low demand NM, and i think it's 100% drop

(wrote this assuming you didn't want to blink, my whole ls uses windower/blinkmenot personally, really just depends on who is healing you, but it's just sad to be a healer who can't handle blinking at this stage of the game)

even at that, not a bad cheat piece

Hospitaler Earring?!?!?! where!

Don't forget the number of HP cured reflects hate gained on a cure. Adding potency and stat gear is always good. That being said Koenig is very nice for Curing.
I personally have a 411 Cure IV without day/weather bonus.
Honestly, I have never needed to cure my self strictly by dropping my HP and raising it again in my cure macro (by 'need' I mean my hate is so bad that I need to do this to recover) I do drop my HP a bit and boost it abit in my macro but a 'cheat' like this isn't needed, just handy to have around.
Being able to cure yourself and others is a main part of keeping hate as a PLD. Curing for maximum numbers should be number 1 priority in your cure macros. Dropping and raising HP should come second.

Btw, if you're interested, my first set is -110 HP, and my second set is +520. I know 520 is overboard for cures but the more your max HP, the less enmity you lose so I'd rather have too much, than not enough. My standard PLD/NIN gear goes back to +401 HP anyway, and my Cure IV does 393 without Light Staff so it's pretty damn close.

As a WHM if your Pld is blinking like crazy it can be a pain to keep them alive. Not impossible but defiantly not pleasant.

That's why windower came up with blinkmenot.

No you shouldn't expect everyone to have windower and run it, yes its your fault if you die because you blinked. No that doesn't mean you shouldn't blink, just that there are times when it's unacceptable to be untargetable for even a short duration of time.

Just missing heavy VIT mod and you'll hit 411 cap ^^
As a said before, don't worry so much on dropping HP then raising it for cure. Boost stats for the cure formula first

Need a total of 212 VIT+MND to hit 411 cure cap with only the +5% Potency earring. Good luck.

20 VIT = 10MND i think. I tested it with Koenig Cuirass Vs. Crimson Body = the same for me, unless thats just camp regardless.
I cure in full Koenig and +5% as a said before, thats 411 to who ever I cure. Big benefit on a RDM after convert and a co-tank

Well if you don't mind camping blood bead gorget is another 60, as is koenig.

Oh yeah are you spell casting? If so you can do mostly -hp and keep more emnity on for endcast safely.

Obvious -hp additions are serket/vivian rings (50), Astral earring (25), the choker (40), settlers cape (30), wivre hairpin (20), jari peti (25), tiphia sting (25), quick belt (15).

That is mostly easy stuff to get which would give you would give you -280 hp. That doesn't even count what you lost in +hp in those slots. Which you can even take more out just by equipping random no hp in the spaces you normally have +hp in. And doesn't factor in what more you can get in +hp that just happens to be in a full +emnity set. So that right there might be enough by itself.

So like ritter gorget gives +emnity and +25 hp. Full iron ram is 22 emnity and 119 hp. Trance belts is 14hp 4emnity. Valor cape for 30hp and 3emnity. So right there just getting +hp in slots that give good emnity too is 188. That brings your total up to 468. Maybe a bit much but you can swap less stuff out in your -hp swap that way. Throw in +emnity earrings/rings/ammo too maybe +potency or vit in some slots for more cured...
